I wish they would renew Come West Along the Road. Every Friday evening, 7 o'clock on RTE 1, I never missed it and it opened up my eyes and ears to amazing music like this. The sheer effortless talent on display is incredible.

I can stand to watch this. The sound is so horribly out of sync that it makes me nauseous l. If you’re going to rip off the TG4 footage and repost it, at least make it sync.

In your opinion,, now listen to Paddy O Brien, Tony Mc Mahon, Joe Burke, Damien Mullane , the list goes on..No such thing as the best..Stop that load of nonsense, great and humble musicians enjoy and respect all good musicians..I'm sure Bobby is mature enough to agree with my comment..

As a child I listened to Paddy playing on the radio... Indeed Paddy composed many beautiful traditional tunes also that are still very popular with younger musicians... His daughter Eileen is a well known Fiddle player.

In an age when young lads are trying to squeeze in as many notes and triplets into a bar as possible, and technique seems to have superseded the tune itself, John Carty's playing is so musical and straight to the point. It's like a breath of fresh air.

people always say this. Reality check though - the best young players are playing absolutely gorgeous, stunning music, not jamming notes in thoughtlessly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXbVgnWwnJyDqNk
