Thank god for this video, all the other videos I found only gave vague instructions and I couldn't figure it out. None of the other videos specified I had to actually hold the indicator button, or that I was supposed to switch after one blink sound

Check with your local dealer. I think you will have to change the entire display. Depending on you model there are some third-party screen protectors available. Check with escootparts.com
