Question: I am coming back to minecraft after a long time, I am hearing that optifine recent updates are not upto par with other tools, is this true? Most research on the subject is mostly individual threads that are one sided. If so, what are the alternatives to optifine if I really only want resource and shader to graphically improve the game, but keep it as vanilla as possible?

@Thrillhouse2.0 I think the deluxe4k resoucepack is quite good. It looks nice and supports all versions 1.7-1.21 in one file and has cool features too. I don't have to change my pack all the time. I can really recommend it. Perhaps also as a showcase.

The fact that Nullscape barely does anything on 1.19 is depressing to me, as it is the one version I always use.
