Fortuner reliable & durable. 5 years using fortuner never a single issue. OFF road king, last year did Ratti Gali track where other cross overs can only think. Not that comfortable and seats are hard but this is SUV full time 4x4, You take it every where place where there is a jeep track.

The loud engine noise is due to heavy viscosity oil. Using a thinner oil such as 0w20, 5w20 or 5w30 reduces the sound and friction. The factory filled oil is 10w40.
