An infant’s cry split the air, A father’s plea, a desperate prayer. An arrow's flight, a martyr born, Hussain's heart, though deeply torn. "God sees," his steadfast cry, For faith in patience, he will rely. A father’s love, so deeply set, In God’s great mercy, they met. Ali al-Akbar took the field, A visage of the Prophet revealed. "Oh God, witness this strife, A youth so pure, lays down his life." Cut down by foes, who’d been beckoned, Ali’s light shone even when reckoned. Imam Hussain's sorrow knew, Faith in Allah only grew. Abbas, the banner did he hold, The epitome of courage bold. Against foes, he made his stand, For water, for family, in that land. Even as his hands were cut, The banner with his arms he shut. Blood-stained, pressed to chest, His valor, forever blessed. For those who thirsted, young and old, A tale of bravery, thus unfolds. Through pain, through loss, a shining star, Hussain's legacy travels far. Oh world, remember Karbala’s plight, Where truth and justice took their flight. In the golden shrine by the Euphrates shore, Imam Hussain’s spirit lives evermore. His sacrifice, a lesson grand, To stand for right, to take a stand. In his memory, we find the light, To fight for truth, with all our might. Remember Hussain, his noble tale, Let his virtues in our hearts prevail. For justice, truth, and rights of men, We walk the path of Hussain again.

Sad what America did to our troops and the people of Afghanistan. Complete waste of life and tax money to fund a war that kills our best and brightest only to abandon the country and leave billions of tax payer money funded equipment behind. Say away from the military if you are young. You are only a sacrifice to rich politicians and military corporations that want to profit constantly from your death.

I hope the "you guys" you're referring to is the Biden administration and not the Green Berets. None of the branches even had a say. That is ultimately up to the president, who is the commander and chief. Put the blame where it belongs, not on the men who risked everything serving this great country.

If there wasn’t a Geneva convention and laws. They could overwhelm the whole country in 1 hour. Also doesn’t matter how trained and equipped. Fighting an enemy that ambushes then retreats and blend in with civilians is always going to be tough.

It’s sad they give these men all the confidence and training they need but then send them to a place where they will be wasted away… 20+ years of terrible leadership and a crooked government caused all those who lost their lives to be for nothing.. those little operations they think they are making a difference was doing nothing but stalling the inevitable. Sad.
