I have the same problem with my ES I had 18 miles on the machine and it started jumping out of gear I now have 285 miles it’s jumped out of gear 14 times before I put the mileage on it I tried to do the repair that you recommended but it didn’t work finally called Kawasaki and they are replacing the transmission they are aware of the problem and apparently adjusting the cable isn’t the issue it’s an internal bearing problem apparently
@AlmostHeavenOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
This is my friends machine he eventually had to take it back to the dealer, the fix wasn’t permanent. Kawasaki told him the same thing that they’re aware of the problem and the shop is finishing up replacing the one way bearing clutch hub assembly this week. Hopefully it fixes it.

@@wvtechnician Hey Roger, hate to hear you had the same issue! I got the “permanent fix” and I’ve had it back now for about a month and I’ve put about 300 good miles on the machine now and it seems as if it’s definitely fixed! I haven’t had any issues at all, you’re right, it only did it in high gear decelerating. Contact Kawasaki customer care if you haven’t already and start a claim and get a log number….now that it’s available it shouldn’t take very long to get you fixed! Even with this minor setback I still love the KRX! This was actually my machine, I can share with you the part numbers that they replaced if you find that you would need them!

I'm torn, I really don't like the outside black bands. Seems like a huge miss from can am imo. How is it on the trail when fully open? Any vibration ?
@AlmostHeavenOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
I agree the black border drives me crazy, you want to make sure it’s something you like before you spend that much money on a windshield. As far as any vibrations I haven’t had any problems with that but I also put some foam inserts in certain places to prevent it. At my normal slow trail riding speeds (10ish mph) the actuators are pretty solid, if it’s a super rocky trail it will bounce a little but after some time in it I don’t even pay attention to it anymore. I will say too that the passenger side actuator has been messing up (roughly over 18 months and 2900 miles) and a replacement is 150 bucks through can-am. Hope this helps.

I had the same issue until I adjusted my shift lever back 2 knurls and my shift cable so it sits LOOSE in H with the shifter able to float and not under any cable tension. I ran out of cable adjustment so had to move the lever a knurl or two to provide more adjustment. I also added the longer spring offered by JBS. If you dont fix this right away you can bend you shift fork and have to split the case. Mine is good now. NO tension on the cable when in H is the secret. Shifts a lot easier now too into all gears where before I was fighting it.
