Just bought one brand new today and the self propelled belt broke In the first few passes. My guess is it was dry rotted from sitting in the box or something but do you know what kind of belt that is to replace it?

I had one in the guest room that was going off because the outside humidity was like 85%, plus a bathtub that wouldn't drain so I just let the water evaporate and also the fan in the bathroom was broken. It went off once every week. I had an exam the next day after it went off at 2:30 in the morning. We fixed the fan and the bathtub and made sure to run the air conditioner at night, and have the fan set on constant. Hasn't happened since.

I have the same exact model and same problem. A few days ago, I checked everything you did and found no blockages or any freezing. Today I will check to see if it's level Thanks!.

I like to use Tapcons instead of Ramsets into concrete slabs. Sure, it requires a masonry bit and drilling but they are fast and secure.

I didn’t have the leveling problem you had. But I was able to figure out where the clogged drain hole is from watching your video. The owners manual wasn’t helpful at all. Thank you!

4:43 shows you don't have a neutral wire. Their installation instruction shows you don't need a white wire pig-tail as in 9:23 It's under "Identify your wires (most common shown)"

Did you drill screws in at new locations and leave the existing screws that were sheared off in place?

It's more effort, but there is a cleaner and sturdier way: attach the new studs flush to the old studs (with NO drywall in-between the old and new wood.. like the framing would be if it were built this way originally). The problem is over time the drywall will crush, and even if it does not fall out, there will be void space allowing the new framing to "flex" (just imagine children bumping into the walls hard, and now you have huge cracks in the new drywall). You could just use the razor and chisel to remove old drywall the same way you removed the carpet. If you ARE going to do it this way, then at least use long decking screws to attach the new framing through the old drywall into the old framing. Nails that are not flush will come loose, and the drywall you sandwich will compress over time. But the screws won't allow any flex, and if needed you can tighten them.

Really good video - Frank's step by step safe explanations were very helpful - thanks again - it was the exact same model of Philips toaster for me which made it easy to follow. I was able to fix it by cleaning the 2 pairs rond contacts with sandpaper. Little more problems for me to remove the black plastic handle and the rond 1 to 5 controller. The trick was pry it gently on one side and the other. Thanks again for extending the life of this small morning appliance!

is it normal that it wont completely shut off? like the blue indiglow dims out but its lcd backlit display is constantly on.. ? that kills the battery.... and when plugged in it just alternates 14.1 - 14.2 top bar always flashes and never shuts off on its own.. I unplug it drops quickly to 12.9v and sits there and eventually next day drops to 12.7v and have charge it again... is this normal??? or do i have a dud.?

All batteries will drain completely in 4 to 6 months . This is why people don't realize they have to recharge every 3 to4 months. So if you let your car battery sit it will drain down to point of not starting a truck or car

Hi Frank , I have multiple alarms in the house ( each of my rooms) they all went off and it was a false alarm. How do I identify which one is the faulty alarm and needs to be replaced?

Happened to me today. I did start to disconnect one by one luckily when I was disconnecting one before the very last one (Master Bedroom) the Master Bedroom stopped. So, I did identify which one was the trigger. I did use our Dyson vacuum on each one and I hope the problem is solved.

Depending on the alarm, there will be a light that blinks for a few hours after the alarm. While they are sounding, the light should alternate between red and green. After the the alarm the one that cause the alarm should blink red every 10-20 seconds.

So, we spent about 8 minutes of our precious lives watching your video, then towards the end of it, you failed to show us how the strobe light truly works. I guess you could have recorded that strobing light part when your kid wasn't sleeping or at the daycare center, then you would later stitch that separate video to the rest of the video before posting to the universe on KZbin. ....Now, the main question is how do you compensate us for our valuable and precious time???🤔 I will not subscribe. Thanks.

Hi Frank, I bought the same as yours but it was bought just three years ago but it kept chirp sound in every 30 seconds then I thought its battery was weak the I took it off ceiling in order to replace battery but I cannot see where to replace battery. Only way is take off cover but I cannot open the cover because screw is not star head to crew off . I look into my tool box with 32 pieces of head crew but no one fit to crew off to open the cover. Could you tell me that this model is not designed for replace battery but to call their customer service for replacement whole fire alarm? Thank you

e @jmahecha2709 Yeah I called service that they said the same as yours but I told myself that never buying online this product that is too much problem and service where they sold it seemly irresponsible to exchange but tell me to fix by do this do that during those we bought from Home depot or sore is never be chirp a sound but battery is weak. To me, I prefer to buy fire alarm that can open to replace battery and never buying any fire alarm with 10 battery 10 years. Since iI never buy fire alarm from online Costco because Costco sell those package for three fire alarms that looked cheap but actually too expensive as I had to to buy another replacement to avoid trouble . Because those package of three alarms from Costco online were short life and cause to much trouble , especially as I installed them into rental house that woke up guests by sounding fire alarm on every week. Please not buying Fire alarm online because customer service advise doing this doing that but avoiding replacing for you . If you buy directly from store that you can exchange or getting refund easily.. Sincerely

Gosh! you try these contacts and that's it? Your toaster is dirty as hell and it seems you don't even see it. I guess you are so accustomed to seeing it (and the whole kitchen?) like that that you don't even budge anymore. "Toasters made to be tossed"... woah, the planet is surely not going to get better with this kind of statement!! Just take your damn toaster upside down and give it a good shake to get all the bloody crumbs out!! Then watch a few videos about why toasters are not working anymore and maybe you'll learn what to do with yours!! Get a bit more curious, man!! And efficient.
