For upgrading an Azure Windows 11 21H2 Gen2 VM to 24H2, the recommended approach is: In-place Upgrade: Use an in-place upgrade for the VM if Azure supports the newer version upgrade. You can download the VHD, perform the upgrade locally using tools like Hyper-V, and then re-upload the VHD back to Azure . My question is what type of automation tools should a cloud engineer learn to be a step ahead of the game? Can you do an interview of automation trends for cloud engineers? thanks or cloud in general.

Great question. There are so many tools available today. When referring to automation do you mean automation of common maintenance, deployment, and remediation tasks, for example for AWS services like Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon Redshift, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3)? Or are you referring to agnostic DevOps automation tools? People leveraging Docker and Kubernetes? We have seen a huge interest in tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet.

@@Cloud-Institute I guess more in line with agnostic tools such as Terraform. I figure since multi-cloud seems to be an on going trend it’s easier to deal with agnostic tool set and not proprietary? And if so are there more tools other than Terraform, docker and Kubernetes ? Like a list in agnostic skill sets an agnostic cloud engineer should know. Thanks for your time greatly appreciated.
