How would I fix sticking buttons on my x32? Was that WD40?
@jdkustom16 күн бұрын
Thank you for your support! WD40 isn’t suitable for electronic components as it can leave residue and cause more issues. Instead, use a proper switch/contact cleaner spray designed for electronics-it’s safe, effective, and will fix those sticking buttons without causing damage. Stay posted for more tips and content!

How would I fix sticking buttons on my x32?
@jdkustom2 күн бұрын
You can try your luck with some switch spray but best results are achieved by flushing components internally, this requires opening the unit and for that we recommend taking it to a professional facility as these units are not cheap... Thank you for watching and stay posted for more!

Curious, could you not take this out every 3 to 6 months and rotate it so the beaters are not striking the exact same spot over and over in combination with an Evans Drum patch wouldn’t that prolong having to replace the whole thing?
@jdkustom16 күн бұрын
Thank you for your insightful question and support! Rotating the drum head every few months and using an Evans Drum Patch is a great way to reduce wear and tear on a single spot. It can definitely help extend its lifespan before needing a full replacement. Stay tuned for more tips and ideas! 🥁

How do S/S frets on an acoustic affect the tone? A couple shops advised against it saying it sounds glassier or brighter. Maybe a matter of taste and the tonewoods?
@jdkustom15 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question and support! Stainless steel frets can sound slightly brighter, which some describe as "glassier." It’s a matter of taste and how it pairs with your tonewoods. Stay tuned for more insights! 🎸

Those are the hardest repairs to do, there is very little gluing area! Did you come right with it?
@CallousCoder3 ай бұрын
The most frequent repair on Gibson Les Paul’s. It’s just a design flaw, head stock is angled too far back. Oh man that buffing wheel that to me was always the scariest step! Always afraid it would burn the finish or it being flung out of your hands. It’s a pity that guitar repair/amp isn’t paying the bills anymore. I did Iove it. This is done to perfection well done!
@theo9952Ай бұрын
Μaybe it is a design flaw too but mainly it's carelessness to blame for such serious damage on an expessive guitar. One should simply take care so that the guitar does not fall on its back, by either putting it back in its case when not played or by just placing it in such a way that it does not fall on the floor accidentally. It is not all that difficult to do.
@CallousCoderАй бұрын
@ they even break spontaneously it’s not all due to falling. The angle on the head stock is simply too steep.
@jdkustom15 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment! The Les Paul headstock angle is definitely a common issue, and buffing can be tricky. It’s a pity you’re no longer practicing your craft. Stay tuned for more! 🎸
@jdkustom15 күн бұрын
You make a good point-carelessness does play a big role in preventing damage, and proper storage is essential. However, in a pro environment, accidents can happen, especially on stage or when instruments are handled by the backstage team. It’s always best to take every precaution, but some situations are just unavoidable. Thanks for your comment! 🎸

Yes, they’re medium frets! We used Jescar 51100 stainless steel frets, which have the following measurements: Crown width: 2.49mm (0.098") Crown height: 1.19mm (0.047") A solid choice for durability and playability! 🎸🔥
