I set up the right triangle for the Pythagorean theorem for Baron Davis' 89 foot shot. It looks about 82.7 feet to me. He is about a foot away from the corner 3 line. The legs of my right triangle are 21 and 80. He looks about 9 feet from the baseline. The opposite backboard is 4 feet in, and the center of the rim is about a foot in front of the backboard. 94 minus 4 minus 1 minus 9 is 80. Let me know what you think about the legs of my triangle, 21 and 80.

@@ts214121 I probably should’ve specified in the description or somewhere else in the video, I used NBA’s shot distances to make this video. I will one day make a video using an accurate website that calculates this stuff, but yea even LeBron’s shot wouldn’t be over 80 feet.
@ts214121Ай бұрын
@@D.C.Highlights_11 I think the longest possible shot is about the square root of (89*89 + 25*25), maybe a little less so the player is inbounds, 92.4 feet. I don't know the method the NBA uses to determine distances though.

Also, can you kill this narrative that Damian Lillard is clutch in the playoffs when in reality he isnt clutch especially after the first round. Dame isn't clutch especially after the first round. You should make a video about this. Clutch time means score within 5 points or less the final 5 mins. 2016 semis vs Warriors, Dame shot 27.3 from the field and 25% from three in the clutch in the series. Can't blame his team when in game 5, CJ had 27 points including 16 in the 4th and Crabbe had 20 and made big shots. Dame went 7-24 in that game. Steph Curry missed the first 3 games so there is no excuse losing in 5 vs the Warriors in 2016. 2019 semis vs Nugs, Lillard shot 40.9% from the field and 28.6% from three. and 60% from the free throw line in the clutch in the series. CJ had 37, Turner had 14 in game 7. Dame went 3-17 from the field. In game 3, CJ had 41 and Hood had 25. 2019 WCF vs Warriors, Dame shot 20% from the field and 16.7% from three in the clutch in the series. Dude shot 30% in the 4th quarter in the series. In game 2, Trail Blazers were up 17 points, 15 at the half, 8 with 4 mins to go and lost by 3. In game 3, Portland were up 18, 13 at the half, and lost by 11. In game 4, Blazers was up 17 in the 3rd and 11 in the 4th, and lost by 2 in OT. Warriors didn't have KD and Boogie for the whole series and Iggy missed game 4. Klay only shot 38% from the field and 34% from three in the series. Can't blame his team when his teammates outscored Curry's teammates 3 out of 4 games. Kanter, Harkless, and Aminu had double double playoff games. Seth Curry and Rodney Hood were big in many moments and canned big shots. Dame only showed up vs the Rockets in 2014 and Thunder in 2019 and they were only first round series. Don't get fooled by the 34ppg and 10 apg vs Nugs in 2021. Here are his 2nd halves stats in games 2, 3, and 6. Game 2: 2-9 from the field Game 3: 7-18 from the field Game 6: 1-9 from the field Heck,in game 4, he went 1-10 from the field. In that game, Powell had 29 and CJ had 21. Dame's teammates averaged more points than Jokers teammates in the 2021 series. Even last year vs the Pacers, Dame's 31ppg in the series was meaningless. In the second half of game 2, he went 3-9 from the field. In game 3, he went 6-20 from the field and 4-12 from three. In game 6, he went 7-16 from the field and 4-12 from three. Dame has 9 series in which he shot 43% or below. Dude has 24 playoff games shooting below 40%. He has 11 playoff games shooting below 30%. In road elimination games, Dame shot 35.5% from the field and 23.9% from three. In overall elimination games, Dame shoots 42% from the field and 29% from three. Dude shrinks in the playoffs outside of the first round series game winners vs the Rockets in 2014 and Thunder in 2019. In the playoffs, In the 4th quarter, Dame shoots 37.2% from the field and 35.2% from three. Dame has 9 series in which he shot 43% or below. Dude has 24 playoff games shooting below 40%. He has 11 playoff games shooting below 30%. In road elimination games, Dame shot 35.5% from the field and 23.9% from three. In the playoffs, here are his 4th quarter stats other than the Rockets in 2014 first round and Thunder in 2019. 2015 first round series vs Grizz: He shot 37.5% from the field and 27.3% from three. 2016 first round series vs Clips: He shot 42.9% from the field . 2016 second round series vs Warriors : He shot 42.4% from the field. 2017 first round series vs Warriors : He shot 33.3% from the field and missed all 5 threes. 2018 first round series vs Pels: He shot 33.3% from the field. 2019 second round series vs Nugs: He shot 30.8% from the three. 2019 WCF series vs Warriors : He shot 30.4% from the field and 31.3% from three. 2020 first round series vs Lakers: He shot 30.8% from the field and 33.3% from three. 2021 first round series vs Nugs: He shot 37.9% from the field. 2024 first round series vs Pacers: He shot 26.7 % from the field.

Know Thibs doesn't want him making fouls or even shooting but if he's not more viscerally aggressive on the boards or gets his O numbers up, fans will think he can't do it or worse, doesn't "have it in him" to do so. Unfair as that may be (bc there are many ways to play great D other than blocking shots or battling under the basket that results in kept or extra possessions such as tapouts, blocking out your teammate's man so he can rebound the ball instead, etc), he's going to have to risk doing more even if instructed to remain in the "less is more" leashed mode Thibs seems to have him in. That means going Blake Griffin, Giannis and even Vince Carter hard to the basket with the intent of driving, jamming or stopping-and-popping with a short mid-range shot rather than only being the good soldier and returning the ball back to the guards or dunking on ally oops (that have not been forthcoming since most of his peers were traded away, I may add). It also means demanding the ball more (especially when he has position on someone) even from Brunson who doesn't share generously (partly bc his size limits his ability to lob, his speed doesn't let him blow by people to create 2-on-1's and bc he is risk-averse to TO so doesn't even try to thread the needle on the PnR which, as a result, ends with the most shot attempts off PnR screens and the fewest feeds to the roller), only really when stuck. He needs the numbers to establish statistical credibility not only to the fans (largely ignorant of both the nature of a well-played game, facts that are not obvious and easily led by big mouth haters that'll point out every mistake and forget every good if they've turned on you and the opposite bias if they haven't...) but to management (including that of other teams) if he wants a new contract after this season's up. Hope Thibs gives him 25 mins a game to replace ihart's stats and grow his game without immediate yanks but if that does not happen, again, he's still going to have to score and rebound to make sure other organizations see him after his contract's up at the end of this season. Jericho could shine playing on teams such as GS, DEN, IND, MEM, even OKC come to mind bc Sims would make a better fit on better running and passing teams than NY with more dynamic and spontaneous offenses (and conversely, less rigid, mechanical and one-man dependent O strategies) although perhaps, too, even with teams that'd use him in more specific-defined roles similar to the Knicks but less restrictively such as BOS or HOU where he could take and miss a shot without having to worry about displeasing the coach for trying to do more than the very hard and very important but very limited and really thankless at times (even sacrificial) role he (and all centers on that team) seems chained to in the Knick playbook. 6-8 points and 6-8 rebounds a game per 20-25 mins should be enough to make ihart's departure less painful (and good D, of course), but there's no reason why Sims shouldn't be a regular solid double-double man off the bench for NY or someone else...even if he's going to have to get angry (or get others angry) to do it.

Not sure about the mix made for this soundtrack. Should've shown him locking down guards or really good O players (Harden,Brown,Tatum, etc) on the perimeter or trying to penetrate the lane; getting tough rebs in traffic & blocks and; some of his great individual defensive performances vs good or even great players like KD, Embiid, Jokic, Kessler, Claxton, Sengun, Green/Loony, Robert Williams lll, etc, thruout his brief career. I agree, though, still has alot of upswing. Hope the Knicks have learned or decided to play him to his strengths and advantages which currently they do not. He and Mitch Robinson have the least usage on O of all qualified players in the NBA.
