To be quite frank, Bojack knew that Gohan would really be strong, yet he still decides to send in his henchmen even though he most likely knew they're gonna die Also just throw away Zangya's life just as a surprise attack, it just shows how much of a Psychopath he really is, so much of a psychopath infact that he thought he can just get a hit on Gohan but got a hole punched through his stomach, but then he get's the audacity to say : any last words before you die? And then the Icing on the cake, His GALACTIC BUSTER and Gohan's Kamehameha exploded upon impact, there was no victor in that beam struggle, so on one hand, he may have been strong to give SSJ2 a small challenge, but alas, Bojack, being the psychopath he is, tries to kill Gohan, yet in the end Gohan's size and speed made the first hit, and thus killed him. Had bojack accepted the fact that Gohan can kill him and his henchmen, not be a total psychopath, and played it a bit mroe safer, then he would've put more of a fight.

People always try to argue that ehh piccolos is gohans real dad this and that but when gohan really wants to feel strong he always looks up to his dad Goku is literally his hero because when he needs him most Goku always comes through. And when he goes to save the world he takes his dads fighting pose and his gi. Not only that Goku was his best teacher he literally trained him up so much so that gohan reached his potential twice once after the time chamber he already was stronger then goku and again to reach ssj2. And whenever he really needs it it’s always his dads words that give him real motivation in his head when he is trying to lock in .
