My mentor gave me the assignment of creating a 3 year PML and assumptions worksheet for a landscaping business model. He told me to figure it out on my own and be resourceful, I appreciate the straightforward help and I love the format its exactly what his looked like, You deserve more subs!

What kind of bullshit is that? Top down never works, if you tell an investor you can get 1% of the market they’re out instantly😂

I'm no expert but I thought user personas and user stories are very different things. Personas in my mind are about creating a character based on the sort of person who might interact with your system.
@FitzroyAcademy
@FitzroyAcademy Жыл бұрын
You're not wrong! :) In practice they can be basically the same thing. Some folks like to make really in depth personas, while a speedier route is to just assume that a user story encapsulates the behaviours of a certain persona. We have found that just getting going is usually more important than being exactly specific. <3

@@FitzroyAcademy ah, thank you for the eye opener. Unfortunately I think I've gone too far down the other route. Though in creating my personas I've spent a lot of them building up their personalities and they're not all nice, I have one person who is extroverted, ignorant yet they over estimate their knowledge and therefore don't like to take advice from others. They aren't exactly technically incompetent as they can do social media and email but they over estimate their importance in the company. They only really got the job because they're friends with the manager and they'll probably get promoted though they're not exactly management material. One thing they are good at though is delegation. They like to delegate their work to others but rarely give them any credit for their work. They'd like to use our system to micro manage other people whilst boasting about their ability to make reports and demonstrate their progress to their managers. A very competitive, toxic person who wants others to know that they're the productive amazing employee. I think I've taken it too far, maybe I've thought of them like an author might but it's been enjoyable.

@@zebcode Haha! Well, in our experience we have seen personas that are everything from basic sketches through to full blown dossiers! Whatever works for you is whatever works for you. So if it works, beauty! :)
