How do you like the 6505mh? I have a 6505+ and its been my go to for years. Its in need of some new tubes at the moment though.

I really like it with the Greenbacks, recently discovered the lead channel is way more tight on the bottom end which comes in handy when playing for example The Purging Fires of War. With the boost the gain stays below 20% on the lead channel. I can't compare it to other lunchbox amps though and there might be better ones but I only play at low volumes anyway. After this cover I also had to replace the pre-amp tubes, amp was suddenly lacking gain and was very boomy.

@@Mor_MatuM Nice. I've been considering picking one up so I don't have to lug this heavy ass 6505+ to jam every weekend. I grabbed an Orange Microdark to play while I wait to try and score some Sovtek Russian tubes. The Orange sounded good for about 4-5 months then the tubes started to go in it too. You get what you pay for I guess.

@@MrUnderhilllI've seen a lot of fans of the 20W Marshall and the PRS mt15 (which has full size power tubes), but most of them play modern stuff, maybe that makes the 6505mh better for our style. I also picked mine up for a steal 2nd hand, roughly half the full price and it included the cab.

it's really fun watching how these songs look visually as they're played on the neck. arghoslent use a lot more major pentatonic and melodious sounds than you can usually find in death metal even for so called "melodic" death metal bands... very cool fretwork🎉

@@Mor_MatuMdid u swap the speaker yourself (looks like a 1x12), or did the cabinet come with it? i want a similar peavey mh + single speaker cab rig for rehearsals, small shows & recording, but it seems like most of those cabs come with pretty crummy speakers and not greenbacks like u said

@spazzriff_appreciator I bought the amp and cab for a steal second hand and I think the cab came with the Greenback.. Don't know where you live but in Germany at Thomann there are several cabs loaded with GB for sale, otherwise you can just buy cab and speaker separately.. I had a Harley Benton cab with Chinese V30 speaker before and the quality difference with the Palmer cab is night and day..
