Do they get a temporary permit so they can practice?

No, they don't give a permit. We figure he would get a ticket if he drove without a license, so there was minimal practice, especially out on the main roads. His license is provisional, but we think all that means is it expires in a year (when we have to renew the fianza from the insurance company).

As far as I know it's similar, in that it also requires a mental and health check from a doctor. You can get one right around the corner from Sertracen for $30 I believe or use your local doctor. We don't have any experience with it, but if someone want to volunteer to have us film the process, we can do that!

Harry with Remax is good, but the realtors here will only show you houses that they have contracts with so they get commission. I would look on facebook rental pages, the whatsapp rental group, and ask around. Word of mouth is the best way to find a rental. ☺ There is no MLS system here in Panama.

"57 people died in the eruption of Mount St. Helens on May 18, 1980. **Most deaths were caused by asphyxiation from the lateral blast's hot gases or trauma from pyroclastic flows.** Other causes of death included indirect factors like road accidents, cropduster collisions, and heart attacks. Notable victims included volcanologist David A. Johnston, photojournalist Reid Blackburn, and innkeeper Harry R. Truman. The eruption also destroyed 200 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railways, and 185 miles of highway. It caused over $1 billion in damage, equivalent to $3.4 billion in 2023. **The eruption remains the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in U.S. history.**

It seems like you spend a lot of your time visiting grocery stores every week! I hope they deliver groceries to your home because I don't have time for that. I'm going to be working for the first few years and then hopefully retiring.

@@valentinahernandez7291 I believe there are some people you can hire to do your grocery shopping, but the only stores I know that deliver are PriceSmart, Do It Center, etc in David. I only go that often to hit the deals.

Appreciate your channel so much. So good to hear from those who have been here a long time. We have lived in Volcan for nearly 3 years, and love it. Thankfully only every other side street in our neighborhood is paved as it keeps traffic down on the dirt road we live on.
