How are you modulating the resonance distinct from the VCO's input signal, like in the beginning?
@robertoraineriseith
@robertoraineriseith 3 ай бұрын
It's in the description: in the very first part you hear only the filter resonance, modulated at the upper v/oct input by a sequencer; the VCO comes in later and the resonance is lowered.
@lebannerfan65
@lebannerfan65 3 ай бұрын
@@robertoraineriseith excellent, thanks! Seems like its self-oscillation and resonance remains very musical even when the VCO is then brought in. The voices remain separated to a degree. Sounds very musical

@@lebannerfan65 You are welcome. Indeed the resonance of the 510 tracks very well, same behaviour also for the "Moog-type" RS-100, which i prefer because it's even more linear and smoother. Asys modules (although rather classic) are my favorites in the Eurorack world.

@@smartti1970 You're welcome. Indeed in terms of timbre and possibilities the 2600 is excellent, unfortunately the build quality, while obviously good, is not on a par with a Moog modular or an ARP 2500 IMO. I never liked the sliders and there are many rather fragile plastic components, as in the case of the ARP Odyssey. The ergonomics of the instrument also need some getting used to. But soundwise it's an amazing machine!

@@smartti1970Thanks! It's a 15, reissue version. In the past i also had some modules from Seb, the guy at Mos-Lab. He makes great clones and i was also tempted by the 2500 but i decided to keep the studio as small as possibile si i finally gave up. BTW i'll never sell the 15, it's my all times favorite machine along with the EMS ;-)

Perhaps this became the portastudio later. I like it much better like this in the form of a deck
@robertoraineriseith
@robertoraineriseith Жыл бұрын
The 234 was the third in the Teac/Tascam cassette based series, released in 1984 shortly after the 244 and the 144, which was the first Portastudio in history, released in 1979. I also widely preferred the 234 above the Portastudios for his dimensional compactness (the technical specifications are identical to the 244) and the 19" rack format. Later Portastudio models were cheaper built and some of them also lacked the double-speed option, a very important feature of these early machines.

@@aronslegogbcs1057 Yes, but whether I am correctly informed the 133 was not a conventional multitrack recorder intended to stand as an alternative to multitrack studio reel-to-reel recorders for musical purposes. It featured 3 tracks and was intended for use in audiovisual show or presentations.
