I like the 400 myself but small upgrades of the s2 I like as well . Like the couch in the s2 and the beds in the s2 as well as the owners cabin layout the rest of the boat 400 all the way ... so we will call it the Lagoon 400 s1.0 :) . The hard top over the cockpit is a must for these boats it just makes the flow of the cat so much more, to be able to close that in is just a marvel to my daughter she loves it . I am looking for a 400 now as hard as I can find but no one really wants to get off of them I can tell this is there price there way too high for a 40 ft. cat of this caliber . someone find me one 2007 -2009 for around 100K and I'm in " my mono hull is about a 100K "

Owners demanded square corners in the saloon?

Lots of sharp corners on both boats but the S2 has more. Not a good thing for a boat rolling around n the ocean.

400 is better than 400 s2 (Navigation Table forward, Dining Table rounded corners, Beds easier to access)

Beautiful boat internally but I agree about the steering station. It looks so out of place and destroys the lines of the boat, it looks like it has been added as an afterthought - like hey we forgot the steering station - oh just make a hole through the hardtop and stick it there.

That canopy really does not help the looks. Why not buy Australian made?? Seawind?

The ideal Cat. seems to me to be the Lagoon 420. As the story goes not to big not to small, just right! I hope that you will find a way to review one of these beauty's. It seems to be the perfect size for a couple. Or a small group. I am curious about the speed and the aminitties of such a great looking craft.
