I've just ordered this for my Aurzen boom 3 projector to hold over my headboard as I want to project the image on the wall. It holds well, and I love it cause it allows me to find the sweet spot for my image.

Traded my Q for the Q2 two years ago as also had the dreaded EVF issue which is very common on all Q’s but recently sold my Q2 as never fully happy with the colours. Sellers remorse within days and so purchased a QP last week. Great used deals at the moment with the Q3 43 launch, which has driven prices down in the UK on all used models. Picked up the QP with only 4000 shots for £1850 with two extra batteries. For me personally Q2 has lovely improvements over the Q, weather sealing, battery life and better menu’s, but it just can’t replicate the colour science of the original, which is the reason I feel in love with the original Q series. Will eventually go down the Q3 28 route when the Q4 comes out.

I guess its the anti alias filter that does this? I'd love to see some shots from the QP as it hasn't been upon my radar, I checked the specs and if it was weather sealed I'd consider it for sure. Are you doing to tape up the external holes on the camera to stop dust? (I did that on the Q) IF the prices were reasonable (and they're not) I'd love to get a Monochrom version of any of the cameras, a 246 M would be lovely with the M8 and the Q2M of course would be a no brainer, but they seem to hold their value very well (and yes I know I can just shoot b&w, but I think the lack of elements in those cameras would be special... wonder if I can hire one hmmm)

But the body Electronics are from Panasonic. And the 24-70/2.8 L mount is made by Sigma into Japan, not made in Germany, Wetzlar bei Leica.

Wanted this camera for a couple of years but could not afford it until B & H started closing them out.Now my favorite camera after years of SLR's' DSLR's'and Medium Format cameras.Also really like the dedicated battery grip .That grip will only fit the SL-2 and the SL2-S, so anyone thinking they need this accessory will have to bite the bullet soon while they are still available.Really like your channel

Thank you for the kind words; the channel "at best" is a mess of content! What I will say is that I will always say what I think; I don't get paid, it's my money and my thoughts upon (good or bad) what I have brought The SL2-S so far, and I do love a proper rangefinder camera, is the best thing I've had my hands on in a long time and I have owned a lot of cameras. It is a tank, will I ever stump up the money for an L lens? Probably not, I don't need the video, I don't need the AF... I shoot b&w mainly, but the colors from this camera, like the M8 are just on point Most underrated camera from Leica to date

The Leica SL28APO its amazing. I started with the 24-90 and have now added the APO primes. They're absolutely incredible. Wait to start picking up R lenses and even more M lenses.I have even adapted by S lenses

I'm just sticking with M lenses for the time being... but hey at least now I have a camera that can actually use that 0.95 (that I need to borrow again). The variety of glass out there makes this (for me) something that I can use day to day without risking my sub 10k M8 (Canada has weather) to harm. #firstworldproblem

Yup; I said it. What do you want? I'm brand loyal, Canon before and Leica now. I've played with Fuji's, my friends have them and they are superb cameras, but it's not what I'm into and not what I want. Photography is about making art, I was loaned a XV100V AND a VX100VI from friends and I don't (simply) like them or what I took with them. The M8 years back ruined me, the Q made it worse, because of that lens, the Q2 compounded the problem... I don't think the SL2-S will leave me, much like the M8 Baseline: you do you, I'll do me. I like the images I get from Leica more than Fuji.

Simply put not my thing, I do not understand the hype in any way, shape OR form Snob? Ha, sorry it comes off that way. I have always been a Canon shooter.... even tried a Nikon... same situation; I just could not get on with the Nikon so I went back to Canon... still have all of them as well Have you shot a Leica? Or are you just a Fuji fanboy looking to cause shit on the internet? IF you have, please give your insightful impressions of the X100V vs Q2 because I spent month researching, made lists of pros and cons and then hired both cameras to see which one I preferred Base level, you do you and I'll carry on doing what I do Happy Holidays

As a long-term Leica owner from the 1960's to date, I know the drug: the IIIa, wasn't good enough, it was swapped for IIIf, the Summar 50mm F2, was likewise swapped for 50mm Summarit, & so on. Going through the 70's to-date, I've never owned less than 2 Leicas of various vintage, but never one from new. Currently I still own my old IIIf, (with various LTM lenses), a Leica R5 (with 28/50/135mm lenses - still perfect) & a Leica Q & SL (the original versions - which are still very good). The moral of the story is, buy the best you can afford, but don't swap unless you have to! Make as much use of the technology you have at hand. Top quality Leica lenses remain top quality. Eg. R lenses with adapters work as well as when they were made.

The SL2-S is the best! If you can live with the weight and poor battery life. The sensor is the best I have ever tried. Shoot 12.500 iso and push it further 2 stops in Lightroom - and you still have a fantastic image. The EVF is so fantastic. The AF in AF-S is never failing. Always precise. Not the fastest AF but so good. Enjoy it and now make wonderful photos.

Battery life: get a spare battery, i also only shoot EVF AF: don't use it as I shoot old lens Weight: I have a 1DX lol, I think this is lighter EVF: works with sun glasses which is amazing I'm just getting to grips with it but my god it is probably the best camera they have made I do miss the Q and Q2 because of the compact size and the glass but I am happy with this camera 100%

@@jerryinsc pls remember that the Q had over 1M shots upon it when I brought it! We're in Quebec and even though the previous owner covered the holes with tape (usual thing to do) he was out shooting in +40/-40 weather!!! The camera is a tank and I highly recommend it, I switched to a Q2 PURELY because of the weather sealing as I do shoot in the snow and rain

@@mr_dowsett Yep, I live on the coast in the Southeastern U.S. and it can be a harsh environment, especially heat and humidity and summers are long so I think anything I get should be weather sealed. Also I like to get out in the rain sometimes to shoot. Thanks for that advice and I will take it under consideration when I buy. Thanks again for your help.

However, people don't necessarily "care" about people who own fake goods. Smart people will buy bags at luxrul . They are.both amazing cameras. If I didn't live somewhere that snowed I would be happy with a Q The only reason for a Q2 is the weather sealing Get a Q2 over a Q3, the difference is a bump in resolution and a flip screen Unless you're a professional you don't need to chase the numbers For me the ultimate is a Q2M as I shoot b&w most of the time

I see this comment and I guess my point was "here's what I did" If I could keep the Q and Q2, which I did for a long time I would. The Q sat for months without use when I got the 2 If weather sealing isn't a prio; and the Q has lived through Quebec winters for its entire life then it's totally fine (tape up the holes) If you're worried by a Q2 I had the chance to upgrade so I did. Sold the Q to pay for the M8 You won't really see a difference in the images So base line: what's your budget? Q; cheaper batteries by far Q2: weather sealing and a slight bump is rez

When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from luxrul on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

They have so many choices its a chore to even search; it was on sale and I wanted to try something different. AW is a misnomer for sure; because it has a rain cover, which when used basically means you need to remove it to get access to your camera is a pain. This is where PD do win, with the weather sealed zips you don't need to faff around... but like i said with the sling if you want a water bottle then its "in" the bag, and the 20L because its a semi hard shell bag is just to big for day to day commuting and use Even the PD messenger bag is just a larger version of the slings and same issue, no external water bottle pocket and they look huge Dunno; for me currently the perfect bag hasn't been found
