Highly interesting ! How did you eliminate the air bubbles possibly present in the concrete. I guess some amount of vibration is required to achieve this.

Iv pump shotrete up a hill 675 feet with a hydralic pump . warrior 3050. Ran pumps and shot shotcrete for almost 20 years and i thought i was cool. This is as big as it gets .nice video

Yeah I would think a slick pack with grout a lot of water and then wet concrete imagine getting jammed up half way up a 400 meter building

I'm from IRELAND and I have worked on concrete pumps since I was a kid over 20 years now on pumps. from line pumps to 63m putzmeister boom pumps. but never done a high rise building. Not many building's over 10 story's high here in Dublin IRELAND. would love to go over to a high rise and see how things are done there for a few weeks or months.

John Paul TYRRELL this is real pumping. From the prime into tower crane bucket, to blow out back into the mixer. Set and tear down is a totally different deal. Putz has a different system with boom set up than Schwing does. Schwing is much simpler.

how did you pour such a big slab using SCC? in mass pours, using conventional concrete, you use a step method placement to obviously reduce the surface area to avoid cold joints in case of unexpected delays. and you cant form steps with slumps over 6 inches. so, were you able to pour these big slabs with a mix that is highly flowable such as SCC?

Polycarboxylate superplasticizer is now the best admixture for making SCC.

Yes, there are. They are generally referred to, oddly enough, as SRA's or Shrink Reducing Admixture. There are two basic classes, SRA's and CRA's (Crack Reducing Admixtures).
