you need to research "Big Silos" from the NPC at the bottom right, then after you do that you can pay another 200 ingots to upgrade each silo :)

@@waffthewaffle hmmm, honestly you mostly just need good luck to beat this. Reset until you get a jetpack on level 2, ghost every gem you can, use bombs as efficiently as possible, and try to time the 99 bombs from kali as efficiently as possible. Also pray you get a good city of gold layout lol, there's a huge swing in gold depending on how many solid gold tiles spawn there

@@GizmoLico Ty! Though it seems crazy to me not to conserve more bombs for CoG. Is it really more valuable to bomb for individual gems than it is to bomb a slightly inefficient CoG area?

@@waffthewaffle TBH I think that's one of the mistakes in this run, I didn't save enough bombs for CoG. iirc I underestimated how many bombs I'd need rather than thinking the gems were more worthwhile. I think bombing for gems pre-moai is probably worth it since you can ghost them, but probably not post-moai haha (unless you're sure you'll have enough for CoG)

ty! yeah it's a rough one, temple is such a gauntlet and then you're entirely at the mercy of the olmec layout... still less painful (and more fun) than no% tho :p as for the BM strat, yea that's the best strategy to go for when you don't have a throwable (and in the case of paci runs, a skull specifically). you can also use it for regular TM CoG when the specialty shop is bottom left because you can steal the jp at the same time :o

oh, that's just how shopkeeper aggro works in Spelunky Classic. In the black market, if you make a shopkeeper angry by attacking him, it doesn't make the other shopkeepers angry. You only aggro ALL of the shopkeepers if you steal something or damage the shop. This strat is super useful because it lets you rob the BM without having to kill every shopkeeper :D It also makes all of the items on screen free, including items in the other shops. Pots and skulls are the best things to throw at them, because pots and skulls also stun the shopkeeper for a bit. But you can do it with other items like rocks too. Or even by whipping him
