Viktor's pursuit of his dreams is similar to that of Griffith's. Both were willing to sacrifice their morality in the name of ambition.
@zentomaniaКүн бұрын
You're absolutely right!!! Their willingness to sacrifice their morality in pursuit of their ambition speaks to something deeply rooted in the human condition: the drive to achieve greatness, no matter the cost. That is what makes both characters so compelling, they hold up a mirror to this dark aspect of humanity.

It's so difficult to go back and watch Jayce save Victor by offering him to the hexcore. It was reasonable because it saved his life, but it gave him the chance to take over all of the people in Zaun and Piltover too.
@fire2box3 күн бұрын
Jayce did say it wasn't easy to live up to principal when you are watching your best friend/ found family brother die all because you couldn't broker peace in time. The hardest part for me in that scene is watching Viktor just walk away and say goodbye I was like "What!?"
@zentomania3 күн бұрын
At the time, I think we were all rooting for it to work out-it felt like the right choice to save Viktor's life. But looking back with the benefit of hindsight and all the foreshadowing, it’s clear how complex and dangerous that decision really was. That’s what makes this show so incredible-it doesn’t just show you the consequences, it makes you wrestle with them too.

im ngl i hated jayce for most of the series, being the face of 'progress' but sticking his head in the sand whenever Zaun was brought up. but his ending scene truly made me respect him, the way the entire world was at stake and he didn't hesitate for a second once he knew the outcome
@elijakubowicz914317 күн бұрын
He didn't stick his head in the sand. There just wasn't anything he could realy do about it, he wanted to help but couldnt. That's y he agreed to let Silco rule the undercity. He realized that Piltover doesnt care and can't help the undercity, so the best thing would be to let them be free and help themselves.
@dyo_x017 күн бұрын
@@elijakubowicz9143 nah, imo he only started caring when he absolutely had to go down there to fix the shimmer problem and jinx threat to piltover. and i back this by the fact that his specific time travel was to the future, yk the same future he wanted to fix with his 'progress' turned out to be doomed from the start. it goes hand in hand, he only acts on problems once they show to absolutely have negative consequences, hence why he finally didnt hesitate to smash salo as he knew viktor needed to be stopped.
@zentomania17 күн бұрын
I think Jayce perfectly captures the tension between ambition and responsibility, especially in how his vision of ‘progress’ often overlooked Zaun’s struggles. But despite this, I believe his intentions were always genuin and driven. He was always guided by a good heart and a desire to make the world better, even if he didn’t always get it right.
@zentomania17 күн бұрын
@@elijakubowicz9143 You do make a solid point about Jayce wanting to help but being limited by Piltover’s apathy. To be honest, letting Silco rule was definitely a bold move, but do you think it was the best decision, or just the least bad option? The way he wrestles with Piltover’s systemic flaws makes him such a layered character. God I love this show!!!

Cannot agree. The show is a sick fantasy flick created just for the sake of showing some weird stuff. It doesn't show good characters, it is full of royals-in-the-bushes or deus ex machina, plot holes, the world shown is unbelievable and doesn't comply with the suspension of disbelief. All in all - if you want to see some weird biostuff, go watch. If you want a good sci-fi survival - I dunno, but it is not there. Imho And the presented scene is a godd example of that - just weird stuff without any plot significance or impact on the character or story

I honestly have to say that I have not been more infuriated by someone's take on the end of AoT than in this video. This whole "life is life, things will always repeat" and "we're all slaves to a miserable end" is total bs to me. Bare with me. Eren's personality had undergone such dramatic changes not befitting his personality AT ALL during the last few hours of AoT. The post-credits are such total garbage and honestly for me, just reflects what is wrong with the world today. Another race basically entraps you for a century on an island while constantly bombarding you with fresh titans. They send titans to breach the walls of your (now peaceful) civilization and ultimately treats everyone of your decent like total garbage, murdering and crushing their hope for life. You finally get the power to crush them and stop THIS discriminating cycle forever by wiping them out.... but get cold feet in the end because you now have an "undefeatable hand". This sentiment that you should turn the other cheek or forgive just because the opposition has no chance now is ridiculous. If someone picks a fight with a bear, dont expect to let the bear sit idle while you skin him. It's a terrible ending that just gets reinforced by the off-pizzing post-credit scenes. Thank you for ruining a great series.

And you forget eren is still human, not only did receive such ultimate power, he did so at a very young age. He clearly always cared for his friends and knew they’d disagree with him, eren did what he had to do to give his friends the future he always wanted. Deep down he knew and we all knew the cycle would always repeat itself, that’s the message of the show, humanity will always be this way but we shouldn’t give up hope for our children for a better future.

I remember the conversation with Hitch’s friend “Marlo” in Episode 48 of the third season, part two. Eren also did not understand that Hitch was in fact trying to show her feelings to Marlo, Even when Mikasa killed Eren and gave him a kiss goodbye, he did not understand that this step had freed Ymir. @zentomania Жыл бұрын
The man next to her does look like him, so its a possibility. In the end we will never know because there was never confirmation from Isayama. There is also the fan theory that Pieck and Jean got together, so there is that. To be honest, Eren wanted her to be happy, regardless of who she ended up with, so as long as she found happiness, Its all good. Preferably with someone we know to have a good heart. (still hurts, i know 😞) Best regards ✌
@analuizadefigueiredosouza7851 Жыл бұрын
Guys, of course it's Jean, what other reason Isayama could have to make this character have feelings for her until the last chapter/episode of the manga/anime? From a narrative's perspective, that would be a plot whole if the man she married to wasn't him. He's even staring at her while the group is visiting Eren's grave. Before that, Pieck noticed he was fixing his hair to look nice to someone. The pieces are all there. As we don't get to see Mikasa's scarf during the following years of visiting Eren's grave (we see it in the group reunion and when she's buried), we can assume that she managed to live a long life that wasn't limited to crying over Eren's death and was able to enjoy the experiences that came after him without being tied to grief, although she cultivated Eren's memory over the years. Which seems like a good development for a character who basically existed to follow Eren. And Jean got to marry his dream woman, he's certainly happy. P.S.: One of their grandchildren has brown hair. Who could she get that hair from?
@Shozab007 Жыл бұрын
@analuizadefigueiredosouza7851 i get ur point but still non of it is confirmed and we can assume whatever we like . So for me i think she didn't marry and adopted a kid . I mean there's so many therories and reasons that proof that she didn't get married like the ending song , the bandage on her wrist in the manga , and that she was buried ryt beside eren . If you look deep into it u you can actually come to a conclusion that she didn't got married as in the guidebook it is stated that is is single . And i don't think isayama would marry her to jean to make the ending more controversial than it already is and btw he was about to kill jean in S4 that sums up his importance to the series .
