Can u gap the plugs down to eliminate spark blow out?
@98saleen8 күн бұрын
In most situations that would work, but I've already got them down to .018" gap! It's a limitation of the Ford OEM coils.

Which VMP ? I’m running a 2.3 vmp
@ttsaleen30212 жыл бұрын
It's the Gen2 2.3 from years back before they quit making them. Rowdy little blower. It's now on my built-engine in my 2003 Mach1 project. Made just shy of 800rwhp pullied for 26# of boost but falls off at high rpm due to overspinning it.

Been watching a lot of your videos - very awesome build! I am in progress of 6.4L/TKX in my 68 charger. Kind of a weird question but how’s the engine smell on these geniii hemis without Cats? My wife if tired of my 440 Cuda stinking up on date nights
@ttsaleen30212 жыл бұрын
On either pump gas (93) or E85 (flexfuel) the fumes/smells from the G3 Hemi are not bad at all compared to my original engine (318) with the carb. I can understand the smell/odor emitted from the old school style engines with carbs tho, as I've had quite a few over the years with off-road exhaust. The fuel injection helps mitigate alot of that by adjusting the air/fuel ratio especially at idle to compensate for an overly rich carb style idle. I would think just by going fuel injection (throttle body type) on your 440 would help with that alot. Also converting to E85 would help clean up the smell/odor as well. By the way if you goto my 98Saleen account, I have hundreds of vids out there! I appreciate the feedback! Ryan

@@ttsaleen3021 I actually put a Holley super sniper on my 440, it cleaned it up a bit, but it still reeks. I think it’s just the can I have in it. One day I need to go around and check for any exhaust leaks. Just ordered a 392! Enough power for you??
@ttsaleen30212 жыл бұрын
@@rogercox8228 That 392 should be a monster! My little 345 does a great job, but I did all the little mods to help it (E85, tune, cold air, headers, 3" exhaust). My 2.76 rear gears don't help either. I am planning on a 3.70 upgrade and a sure-grip style posi unit in the future. That should wake it up and get this heavy car moving a little faster off the line. But honestly it is so much faster than it was with the 318 like it is. Good luck with your swap. Make sure you post some vids of it. I am interested to check it out!

Wow! I love it. I will go back and check out the previous episodes. You may have already addressed this question, but are those aftermarket wheels or have the originals been chrome plated?
@ttsaleen30212 жыл бұрын
They are aftermarket wheels, which is why the offset is not quite correct. The original silver wheels are in storage along with the original front seats.
