Ndola airport was originally built as an airbase, it was never meant for civilians, no wonder after building the new airport in Ndola. It has been returned back to an airbase

amazing! Was trying to figure out, what made you go to Zambia? We went to Zambia in 1968, pretty much lived across the whole country, Livingstone, Chilanga, Kabwe, Kitwe, Chingola and finally Mufulira, until 1981, we laid our father to rest in Ndola, hence, Zambia holds a dear place in my heart. We left in 1981 and I did not return until 2018 and am planning to visit again this year (virus pending). Hence was looking at clips of Kafue NP and your clip came up.

Hi Helen, thank you so much for sharing. Made me home sick. My childhood was in Lusaka and then we moved to the States. I was about 13 when we moved here I went to Lotus Primary school and then to Libala high 🙂. I'm thinking to come back to retirement there Would you recommend that? Not sure what the temperature is for indians (I'm originally from India) now a days??
@HelenJoyCreates3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to make you homesick, but glad to reignite good memories. I enjoy living here, and Lusaka is well developed (we live in the copper belt) but might be harder if you are used to all the things advisor l available in the States. There seems to be a decent Indian community here, from what I can tell.

In 2021 for 2 adults and 2 kids are 500 dollars monthly enough?
@HelenJoyCreates3 жыл бұрын
Alot depends on your standard of living and what extra costs you will have eg. Vehicle, medical, rent, flights abroad etc. People survive on less here, but others might say you need more.

Wow. I spent some if my childhood in Kitwe though born in Lusaka and then raised mostly in Australia. I don't meet many Zambians who've lived in Australia as we tend to go to the UK, Canada or Sweeden in recent years.
