I have counters the same material. I use Scrub daddy power paste, read the directions. It works every time!

I tried lavender, roses, and echinacea. All are medicinal and do not require constant watering.

Savor the moments :) Its so nice seeing these plants start off so small yet do so much. I started some squash seeds and thought I failed so I dumped the dirt from them into another planter box that was empty at the time. Now we have a whole section of acorn and butternut squash from what we thought failed

Don't water from the top water from the bottom, you will cause fungus and disease on the leaves. I made that mistake my first two years container growing. Last year I got 12 gallon bags of cherry tomatoes off 1 small plant. If you add baking soda to the pots when the tomatoes are green the fruit will be sweeter when they ripen
