We drove through Czechia once on an extended road trip and stayed in Prague and it was fabulous. It really was a pleasant surprise. Our expectation was that it was going to be too touristy. Maybe it was because it was the middle of winter, but Prague really exceeded our expectations. We'd love to go back and visit places like Moravia now too. Travelling with a 2 year old is special. Some of our best travel memories are when the kids were quite young. You'd think it would be hard work but I reckon it is easier than when they are on the verge of being a teen where it gets more... challenging. 😂 Excellent video!

Ah I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it! Bits can get really touristy but it's actually been way better since Covid... Haha that's actually handy to know - I always assumed it just gets easier when they get a bit older and can fend for themselves! At least it will involve less carrying I guess 😅
@ShaneNixonFamily2 ай бұрын
@@WeFilmThings in some respects it gets easier. We recently went to Vietnam and each (10 and 13 now) had their own carry-on instead of parents lugging around a couple of 25kg bags, prams etc. 😂

There is a far nicer trail route up from Mui Wo to country park where they began than walking up the pavement next to the road over to Tung Chung. It starts near the detached hamlet of Luk Tei Tung. If you get there for sunset, a strong head torch has to be good for the descent.

This is incredibly helpful. I dont have a baby (yet) but if we do have kids, I am so nervous to travel. My partner is from Australia (we live in the US) and it's such a long flight journey. These tips are super nice to have. If you have any tips for those long-haul flights, that would also be so welcomed! Although I'm sure a lot of this translates.

Thanks so much for watching 💛 it’s definitely one of those things that you just have to start, and it will immediately seem less intimidating, especially if you have family abroad. We’ve actually not done a proper long haul flight yet, the longest was about 5hrs with a layover. Planning on one in the second half of this year potentially so we will report back🙏

@@WeFilmThings I randomly got this video reccomended, I've never seen your channel before so I think the algorithm is on your side. Your content looks right up my ally. @@lolsaXx amaaazing, how is life on the Finnish islands? I bet it’s beautiful, what a place for your little ones to grow up 😍What made you move there? I’d be interested to see our demographic too - it used to be time poor young professionals who loved travel, but those viewers will be older now (like us!) and I suspect many of the old subscribers won’t be watching anymore. An absolute great video on essential tips. We are a grp of photographers and intend to visit Deadvlei. One of our interest is astro photography, ie shooting star trails and milkway using the trees as back drop. How is it possible to stay for the night (some star trails may take 3 hrs or more) since the 2nd gate closes ard 8pm if we understand correctly. Are we allowed to stay inside?
@WeFilmThings Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I believe the only way to do this is to stay inside the national park at the NWR Sossus Dune Lodge, it is inside the gates. Otherwise you can't get in and out before sunrise / after sunset. There may be other ways but I don't have any further info on those... Have an amazing time when you go!

This was such a nice video ❤. Really enjoyed it as a finn 😊. Like said yes it's pretty typical weather for may, there's even a song in finnish that roughly translates "the sun is shining and it's pouring rain it seems like summer is coming" 😁. There has even been snow fall during mid summer in south of Finland sometimes. Rarely, but sometimes. Hail storms occur also sometimes during summer.
@WeFilmThings Жыл бұрын
Aw thank you, so glad you enjoyed it! Haha don’t get me wrong, it’s hardly tropical here in the UK, but we were surprised at how much the weather couldn’t make up its mind! 😂 and yes, maybe weren’t expecting the snow… such a beautiful country you’ve got though 💛
@TheAlex29494 Жыл бұрын
spring weather is fickle to say the least. from mid april to mid may you can have anything from +20 C to having literal snow on the ground. In early may it may still snow a little bit on cold days but it never stays on the ground and only a couple days can make a huge difference in temperature. the weather you were experiencing is not by any means rare or unheard of but it is colder than expected during that time of the year. Us finns tend to whine about "takatalvi" or back-winter when it happens but we know that summer is just a matter of time and the conditions can completely change from winter jackets to shorts within a week. some years there has even been snowfall in june but that definitely is rare and anomalous
