How is the reliability on this 120hp engines? I’ve got today a 2011 scudo 2.0 🎉
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTDКүн бұрын
This Van is deffo the best one I have had reliability wise. Its had a few issues but all vehicles do. The biggest was the turbo which was replaced at approx 90,000 miles. I had the same turbo fault again at approx 180,000 miles which I cured with some turbo spray (I have a video about this). Ive had the from 60,000 miles and now has 192,000 miles on it and other than the above, from memory the things that have been fixed / replaced on it are: Clutch, steering rack, alternator, parking sensors, door latch, and a couple of brake callipers, drop links, ball joints etc which I would probably class as serviceable items anyway along with discs and pads. I have just last week replaced the thermostat as that was playing up slightly. This van has never let me down and tbh I am reluctant to change it. I believe regular servicing helps, I do it every 10,000 miles (recommended intervals are 20,000 miles). Thanks for watching and the comment!

Hello wonder if you could help? I have same problem everything works except buzzer in flat so dont know when visitors are outside. However when pressing my flat number on outside panel you can hear a buzz outside and feel a vibration. Does this mean only my handset buzzer is broke? Also, could my flat number button on outside panel still fail a continuity test even if it buzzes/vibrates when pressed?
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD15 күн бұрын
As you say you can hear a buzz when you press the button on the call panel, I would say that button is probably working ok, but I would maybe double check it with a multimeter. Firstly I would suggest you check your handset. I have had this problem on a videx system and it turned out to be a fault in the handset. The buzzer inside the handset is basically a magnetic solenoid and I found that a small metal tab which the magnet attracts and releases to create the buzz, had fallen off and was inside the handset and I managed to clip it back in and it worked fine.

Is there a management company that looks after the communal areas? Thats who we work for when there is an intercom issue as it is 99% of the time it is a fault on the call panel which is communal, in which case they should be responsible. If not, I would contact a company who deals in access control or even an electrician may be able to fix it, you dont need to deal with videx directly. As long as you can order the spare part you require, its only a case of connecting the wires back up and if they are marked up as you go, its fairly easy.

Hi, I realise this is 2 years old but thought a little tip might help. Before removing the front plate, just go around the edge with your Stanley knife, that will sever the paint connection and there will be no paint breaks.
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD28 күн бұрын
Good tip! My little bit of damage was due to the dry lining box moving and breaking a bit of plaster away, rather than paint peeling from the socket. I always make sure my sockets are removed before painting so I dont have to do that (and it makes a nicer job). Yes you are correct as I would say 99% of sockets and accessories are painted around so a knife blade around them first is definitely a good idea! Thanks for watching and the comment.

Earth continuity- the standard says 1 Ohm- so 0.35 is a clear pass. 'Both had one wheel missing' - so move a wheel, and you have only one fail. Scratching paint off- when there is a mounting bolt to the bracket right next to it! BTY your video is strobing with your lighting. You may wish to change from fluorescents. Which is a good idea anyway.

Great video. Well done.I have 1 for you :) 3 zones. Z1 - HW. Z2 DS CH. Z3 US CH. Z1 heats HW & Z2 (z2 two port valve motor is off). Z2 heats Z2 only. Z3 heats Z3 only. Any ideas. I checked everything, wiring etc. why would hot water heat rads on z2, but when z2 is called only, it doesn't heat HW, only it's own zone.
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD2 ай бұрын
TBH I dont have a great deal of experience with heating systems so I may be wrong, but could it be a faulty zone 2 two port valve? i.e the mechanical valve itself so although the motor is moving it to close it off, the valve itself isn't actually fully closing and allowing water to pass through it? Thanks for watching and the comment!
@Roy-ud1db2 ай бұрын
@@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD I changed the motorised valves, checked wiring just in case there was a shared neutral, making sure there is no power at all going to the valve, still no joy.

TBH I'm not sure. Probably best getting a heating engineer to look at it, but a better one than the original ones who installed the thermostat in this video LOL! When you do resolve it, I would be interested to know what the problem was.
@Roy-ud1db2 ай бұрын
@ I contacted the boiler manufacturer (ideal) very helpful, sending an engineer out. When I switch to central heating only, the boiler starts banging, the pressure needle flicks up and back. Only happens with central heating. I think it might be a faulty diverter valve stuck?? Maybe that’s why rads heat up when hot water zone is on. No banging when hot water zone is on. I put in new motorised valves, rearwired from scratch, all new TRV and lock shield valves, It’s wrecking my head 😬. I’ll figure it out yet!!!

I definitely cant access the middle ones as my tow bar is in the way. The two side ones are high up and can just reach them with the bumper on. Have a look at my very first video, its called "intercom fault". More than likely the push button module worn. Sometimes some contact cleaner on the button contacts can fix it, but you may need to replace the button module. Thanks for watching and the comment!

@@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD yea the WD40 contact cleaner fixed 1 button but the other did nothing. Bugger. Question; if we change the intercom downstairs for a new one (for another brand) would the individual videx ones at the apartments need to be changed also? thank you!
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD3 ай бұрын
The individual modules are still available from videx and dont cost too much. If everything else is working I would simply change the faulty module. With regards to the handsets, I'm not sure if they will be compatible. I actually have an old Legrand intercom to change for a new Videx system and I did wonder if the existing handsets would be compatible, however I am changing them anyway so it will all be a brand new system except for the wiring.

Hi. Are panel works - can hear resident, they can hear visit, resident can unlock door - we just can't hear buttons buzz and no buzz sound in flat. This is all 6 flats. Any idea what this can be? We have an Elvox 8202. Thanks
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD5 ай бұрын
I am not familiar with the Elvox system, however I would guess the problem will be in the call panel next to the door as the buzzers in the hand sets very rarely fail especially all 6. If you look at my very first you tube video, this is a fault which appears to be the same as you describe, but on a Videx panel but may be of some help. Thanks for watching and the comment!
@dylanwilson70475 ай бұрын
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD thanks for the reply. It's just the buzzer which isn't working. Any idea where the buzzer sound on the outside intercom panel comes from, when you press the buttons? Thanks
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD5 ай бұрын
Assuming this is similar to the Videx systems, there is a buzzer built inside each handset in the flats / apartments. The call panel at the front door then has a button / switch for each flat number. Pressing this button supplies voltage to the handset buzzer in the flat. These can sometimes be fixed by spraying the back of the button where the contacts are wit some contact cleaner spray. Just a thought, or were you referring to the buzzing which can be heard by the visitor (so they know the door is open) when you press the door open button on your handset in the flat? If so, that noise is actually produced by the electric lock release at the door. If thats the case it could be a faulty electric release or power supply to the electric release.
@dylanwilson70475 ай бұрын
@@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD both, flat no buzz sound and no buzz sound to buttons of outside wall panel. Everything else seems to work.
@HWrenMaintenanceServicesLTD5 ай бұрын
TBH not sure what that would be. I know videx use a power supply with two outputs, one AC for the buzzer and door release and one DC for the speech. If its the same on your system and the AC side failed you would have speech but no door release but your release is working, strange. Its probably going to need a engineer to have a look at it, without actually seeing it its all guess work from me anyway. Sorry I cant be of any more help than that. When you get it sorted, let me know what it turned out to be.

The adjustment will work only if the diaphragm washer in the fill valve is in good condition. If this has worn, adjustment will not not fix the overflow problem. have a look at another one of my videos where I replace the diaphragm washer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6W3l6uMl5eDp6c Hopefully that will help!
