Diagnosed hEDS here. Make sure if you score 5 or higher and have other health issues, specifically POTS or dysautonomia, MCAS, GI dismotility, autoimmune diseases, skeletal or neurological issues, talk to your doctor about genetic testing for EDS. hEDS currently has no genetic test at this time but progress is being made to isolate the genetic markers. The other 12 types of ehlers have genetic testing. In order to get genetic testing a geneticist usually requires an abnormality on an echocardiogram (I have aortal and tricuspid regurgitation, along with psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, spinal degeneration, POTS, MCAS, and a slew of other problems for instance). If you are unable to see a geneticist, some genetic companies like 23 and me will do testing for EDS.

It wasn't mentioned but I feel like another serious risk factor for herniations after space travel would be multifidus and other local stabilizer atrophy

My fall down stairs was in 1981. Now it's 2025 and I am STILL in SEVERE CONSTANT PAIN DAILY JUST LIKE LUIGI MANGIONE NOW!!! I THINK OUR STORIES ARE VERY MUCH ALIKE AND WE HAVE ZERO HOPE WITH THIS CONSTANT PAIN. I WAS TRYING TO FIND a video that might address the ANGER I have right now not being able to find a job that pays anything that DOES NOT REQUIRE SITTING. I'm sitting on my heated microwave blanket because that is the only thing next to my morphine that I just got DISCHARGED from cuz I have car troubles after never being able to work a decent job for 40+ years. I wish this all made just a little sense!!! It just makes me ANGRY MF

That test is not for subacromial pain; its to test the integrity of the supraspinatus tendon.

🙋♀️ question! just want to preface, i’m not trying to be argumentative or rude towards the doctor here because as and allergy sufferer i value his contributions on this platform but as a PMDD sufferer, who the h*ck’s expertise is it then? my psychiatrist and gynecologist said it’s not theirs either so… who do i go to…? …is it anyone’s area of expertise? i learned about PMDD through experiencing the phenomenon discussed in this video on accident a while back, leading up to my period, i had a sudden unexplained outbreak of hives on my chest that was extremely itchy and kept slowly spreading up my neck. nothing was helping not benadryl or topical antihistamines so i decided to go to the doctor. at that point, i was taking claritin daily for seasonal allergies like had been for years but while at urgent care to get a steroid prescription the physician suggested i try switching to allegra since they’d seen it be successful for others in calming hives. i took their suggestion and was taking it daily even after my hives cleared up and not long after that around the week before my period i was having some acid reflux so i took pepcid ac for a few days as well. i was beyond confused when i started menstruating because i had completely skipped over the severe emotional dysregulation and exhaustive mental anguish i’ve experienced monthly since i was 12 which always without fail or deviation the precursor and my natural indication that menstruation is imminent but even my cramps were shockingly milder than i had ever experienced before everything else about my period was normal like the duration and even the flow each day but i was baffled truly the only measurable thing i could point to was the allegra and the pepcid and after researching a possible explanation i was met with a lack of clinical studies and little to no peer reviewed literature. the only thing that proved valuable to me was reading countless stories similar to mine from other women on an ADHDxPMDD subreddit where i found many suggesting pepcid ac and/or pepcid ac with allegra based on their own lived experiences despite having little to no explanation themselves for why such a thing worked for myself and from the stories i’ve read, a lot of other women, allegra and pepcid or just pepcid have been just as if not more effective than any prescription we’ve tried up until now i guess i’m glad i’ve found some level of relief that isn’t accompanied but a doctor’s visit but i’d be more glad to participate in a meaningful research study or give my money to help fund research on this topic i’ve noticed the months that i don’t take pepcid during the luteal phase my symptoms return to being significantly worse than if i had taken it and obviously there’s still fluctuation in severity when i do take it but baseline is better than without so just be warned if you’re reading this and hoping for it to cure all your PMDD afflictions, i think it was initially so impactful for me because i had zero expectations of anything other than what i normally go through so it probably felt like a bigger more noticeable impact than if i was waiting for something to kick in welp, thank you for coming to my ted talk ok bye 🙃

Try taking one or two teaspoons of yellow mustard. You MUST take it by itself. If you eat a hotdog slathered with mustard, it wont work.

I injured my wrist almost two months ago playing tennis. I reached for a back hand and instant injury. Now I've recovered. Took almost two months. If you play tennis long enough this will happen as long as you are a competitive player. If you are a pusher this won't happen.
