What do you mean by you tapped your nut on the all thread? I built one just like this but when I turn the handle it comes out instead of moving the press. Please answer this on your great press . I am 80 years old and try and stay in shape with several different types of bows. Please help I know it’s something simple that I need to do. I love what you are doing and thanks for your videos. I’m not just blowing smoke, you’re doing t. God bless.

I put a nut on the inside about 1.5" from the handle side of the allthread. You either need to double nut it or tack it or it will back out that's what your press will push against when you crank it open. If this doesn't help let me k ow amd I'll try to clarify it another way

This is awesome. I just picked up some TAC driver 2.75’s and thought I’d need a Bitz to install them. To be clear, did you use a EZ-fletch or mini-max ez-fletch? Thanks!
@lonsurez83

I've used both. Both required my jig for it to work on my bow. This video I was using the mini max

I built one similar but used a trailer jack for the screw and main body. Welded a piece of extra tube to the end of the jack to make it adjustable and it works great.

I made a "forced" primer feed system using some fine springs, wire and string which works real good (requires too much fine adjustment however) but I like your design better and may do something similar.

Video has been awesome!! Bow press has been the one thing I've been lacking in my shop to and like you most of us don't wanna pay 500+ for a home press. Being I have alotta welding and fabrication in my blood i am a BIG diy guy as well. Definitely gonna be takin advantage of this idea as well and maybe make a few tweaks. Awesome video man!! This has probably been one of the better diy presses I have seen yet

Pretty sweet, tried it on my 170incher and its too much mass for the coat hanger. it just bends down when i let the weight on it. Im going to try with a heavier wire now. thanks for the idea
