I'm looking at Part 103 planes & I guess having the back seat voids this as a 103 plane? I'm over 60 & there might be things that could stop me from a License so I don't wanna spend all that money/emotion to have them strike me down. So I'm looking and to even consider a Part 103 I'd want to have some carry capabilities in pounds of weight? I have nothing in mind but being able to carry deer or animals in from a hunt would be important to me. I do like this plane you're flying. peace

hi sir diggy, i use 528 for this one, and as of my calculation MTWO of this plane is about 499kg (1100 lbs) with empty weight 289kg (637 lbs), means still have 200kg (440) lbs to carry on. my weight is only 67kg and my friend around 60kg too. so we still have room for take off sir.

I appreciate your sharing this as the lines are blurry to me? I know some of the Part 103 rules like the 254lb weight & it can't have 2 seats. It probably would keep me from a bigger engine but right now I'm really early in researching all of this.... lol, I'm trying to make the case for me even buying one of these so being able to carry "weight" is one thing I'm guessing most guys would want/need to justify buying a plane. See, even these are expensive for me so I'm in that stage of figuring out the money, you went thru all of this too before purchasing. But you do have a license for Sports Aircraft or whatever the Pilot Certificate requires to fly another person in this aircraft? Personally, I think we ought to be able to do more in the air w/ less regulations but I'm trying to work it out like everyone must do. BTW, very nice little aircraft you have here & the nose being a cone is great. I'd want what you have in your face & feet being protected from the elements & some protection should the worst happen. I see the, "Air Bike" & it's just too dangerous w/ your legs hanging out. But that's me, you've really done well for yourself & I enjoyed the video. So you add your weight & a friend together(roughly 260-290lbs) leaving about 150lbs in additional carry if needed? 440lbs is quite a lot of capacity & it's more than I thought you'd be able to do.
