I heard this on a synth wave station and came running here. I know Project Ako is damn near obscure at this point and the music from it even more so. I've been a HUGE fan of the anime and soundtrack since it was originally released 30 years ago. Fucking fantastic cover! The new solo was great and I loved the throwback to the 2nd part of the original solo as synth. Funny I only recent started checking out Street Cleaner, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

I haven't seen Project A-ko since I was teen in the 90s, and on VHS. So sadly I don't remember this tune. But I need to watch it again and check out the rest of the soundtrack. Anime back then had awesome music that I sadly didn't appreciate at the time.

@kri249 We were too young. My grandmother secretly listened to that on loop on the cd and was caught by mom my (her daughter in law) and pretended she it was accidental and she didn’t know how to turn it off. I only saw Ako dubbed in the US. I’d like to see the originals now and perhaps like my grandmother get the soundtrack, put it on loop, and chill all day long.
