I had my "lay my burden down" moment back in 2012. Didn't know this song at the time but boy does it capture the feeling. I sure hope it can help those who still carry theirs.

Saw The stompers a few times in the past around 1980-82. Backing up J. Geils and headlining the old Boston Harbor Booze Cruises back in the early 80's. Great party band.

So glad I stumbled across this song a few years ago as it always brightens my day when I'm carrying a burden.

I went to broadcast school with Dave Friedman, the organist. I became a DJ, he joined the band. LIFE!

I saw these guy back in 1981 or 82. They played at Holy Cross college in Worchester. They were the lead off band and South Side Johnny was the Feature. When they were done and Southside came on on the entire place called for them to come back. Not just an encore....they played 2 more sets..love these guys!!!

Each time I am listening I am impressed by the tightness of the string ensemble. I am not missing any drums of other rhythmic instrument, and togehter with the vocals, just great
