Is the Loadpro safe to load wires connected to an ECU? For instance, to check the power and ground for the coil pack?

This was really helpful. I learn visually. Do those springs not add a fair bit of resistance?
@bivideo728 күн бұрын
@@Leo-gt1bx No. this was an old design for a classroom training aid. For what I teach the concepts are far more critical than accurate math. Math is secondary to understanding what really goes on in a circuit. Do you have my book or have you seen the training card videos?

Over the last 30yrs I've done three things that I've never seen done anywhere else in the world. Ahead of my time in doing so. So once again I'm watching you working with what you've created and I fully understand what your feelings are and I also understand all that the critics might say. Its not an easy spot to sit when the world is full of 'arm chair critics' but when you know you're right, it becomes very comfortable in the end.

In many states you have to provide an estimate to the customer before doing any work on the vehicle, which includes diagnostics. In your way of doing things how and when should I charge the customer for diagnostics? Also since you have been in the industry for many years, a good general question is, do you make more money diagnosing vehicles or just guessing on the estimate and replacing parts, which may or may not fix the problem?
@bivideo7Ай бұрын
@@windward2818 You can’t stay in business giving away your time. Average diagnostic times go do down as experience increases - if you actually do it right. A demand for an estimate for electrical diagnostics is misguided and impossible. But, the 10 minute repair will be free. Just remember - ASS - always something simple…….

Well, what can I say. Your method of training is so easy to understand (no bullshit). I have been trying to understand why your training method is so effective and that you have so many good engineers out in the field. You can memorise some things without understanding them but if you understand something, you don't have to memorise it. Thank you very very much for your time and method of training ( old school ) unfortunately today company's managers supervisor's put pressure on engineers by asking the question what's wrong so as to help them with there decision to replace parts for financial gain most of the time. (To fix something is temporary, to repair something is permanent) More money out of fixing things than Repairing them.
