Great performance! However, littering with cigarettes is definitely out of the question in Japan!

Thanks so much for sharing this video. I miss Lissa. I miss playing with her on the street at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, before she decided to head south to play on the streets of the French Quarter.

Very sweet to see what Lissa was up to down south after we shared the street and various Seattle area venues together as a trio with our friend Jess. She blossomed into quite a talent and withered far too soon. I'm so sad to learn that she passed. Such a loss! Thanks for sharing this video of wonderful artists performing together.

Fantastic, Dooley, thanks. Roberto's best friend and slide-guitar teacher "Washboard Lissa" Driscoll appears at the end of this clip, how cool is that, R.I.P. Miss Lissa. Here's a few clips I've made of her music over the years. And to that guy mentioning pre-Katrina New Orleans, the French Quarter life of poetry, art and music in the streets is pretty much the same, it's been going on way longer than K and will into the centuries.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIWcp56ZiLKXirs

“Washboard” Lissa Driscoll Has Died .. SEPTEMBER 15, 2017 .. Remembering a one-of-a-kind woman this morning-- rest in peace, Lissa Driscoll. ~ Lissa was a longtime performer at various spots throughout the French Quarter and befriended and influenced many musicians in New Orleans. She first came to New Orleans to see her heroine, Blue Lu Barker, and became a street performer fixture for years, playing with dozens, if not hundreds, of different musicians throughout her time here. Lissa loved to play and did not prioritize making money from her music. - She will be greatly missed. “Washboard” Lissa Driscoll passed away this week after a battle with throat cancer. Born in Babylon, New York, and then growing up north of Seattle, Driscoll hitchhiked her way down to New Orleans over 30 years ago made herself a home in the landscape of local street music, performing on Frenchman Street and throughout the French Quarter. With a penchant for steel, she earned the monikers “Washboard Lissa,” “Guitar Lissa” and “Ragtime Annie” for her style of country blues twang centered on a steel guitar and a washboard. Some of her regular venues included Apple Barrel and Checkpoint Charlie’s. There will be a celebration to honor the life of the musician known for her straight shooting honesty this 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. this upcoming Monday at Rare Form as advertised by a Facebook event entitled “Lissa’s Really Dead This Time.” Check out the video below, originally posted by OffBeat in 2015, to revisit Lissa. ----->> kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5eun3RvbsaYoa8

Two extremely talented and special people! What a blessing that they found (and married) each other. Lissa the undisputed queen of the French Quarter (and yes, a superb washboard player) and Roberto, an Italian yet one of the very best blues slide guitar players of modern times. Lissa we miss you but your spirit will always be with us. Roberto, the work you have gone on to do with PFC and TRES is amazing.
