Saw him do a drum solo with the Jack Bruce band at uni in the 70's, it was even better than this! Like he was playing a tune!

He was decent in his day but the techniques and skill levels of contemporary drummers are mind boggling.

I never got it with some drummers, moon, Ringo, baker all very capable but weird. Not musical to my ears.

Mind Blowing?? Come On ! Most drummers do better to day. But, for his age it is fairly good. And yes I also loved the Cream.

Very flowing, very clean and melodic and it builds and functions like a good fireworks display. Ginger always had a very unique sound. Most enjoyable and another drummer who has left big shoes to fill. RIP

Not really all that "mind-blowing" actually ....the Three mistakes were extremely Obvious and ruined the entire Attempt at a Solo (for me anyways ). You judge how you will. Old folk do what they can I S'pose ....the rest of us PERFORM ! ! !

I'm not a drummer, but this literally brings tears to my eyes. The first time i heard "Toad" off their double album in '68, it was revolutionary to me. I didn't know at the time that Ginger used both his feet as well as his hands, and that bass sound was mysterious to me, but mesmerizing too. The floor toms mixed with those two floor basses was extraordinary. A sound that had never been heard like that before. It still seduces drummers to this day.
