I found if I went condi with trail/ritual then I'd get the same numbers but I also had health, armour, and boon duration. Then it's just 2-2-2 with 3 thrown in for heal and stealth. With condi the spea actually feels multi-button. During the test, my numbers were good enough in cele for that to be viable as a condi build. There was lots of condi. I was really excited with the spear beta test as my Deadeye could finally produce the same numbers as my Untamed in open world... Then I log in yesterday and my numbers are down 40+% across the board... My conclusion, if I want to play a thief, I should play a ranger. They are simply better. A LOT better. It's not even close. I have no idea what happened to the development team when they were children, or why they hate the thief and elementalist with such a passion.

I have a problem with cele gear. I'm told over and over to yvoid toughness on raid gear at all costs since bosses attack the one with the highest toughness. So not sure my Raid lead would even accept me if i am in cele gear.

That video shows thief is an extremely spammy profession that I personally find boring in PVE. Lack of utility compared to other professions too. My thief is my go-to character for PVP though.
