I am not seeing a canopy collapse at all. I see an aggressive toggle input with no harness component resulting in line-twists. Am I missing something?
@TheHellis

Look at the right stabilizer at 0:17 . Scary stuff! Someone should take the manufacturer out of business! :-) I believe it all could have avoided with a looser chest strap and pulling down the slider. It loks like the risers are "held back" from spreading. Just making them spread a little makes a lot of difference.
@Brian-Germain

@@TheHellis i know you are making a joke, but not everyone else will understand that. There is no canopy collapse, only pilot error.
@TheHellis
@TheHellis 3 жыл бұрын
@@Brian-Germain fair enough. My previous post was a joke. But spreading the risers would probably have prevented it. That is for real
@Brian-Germain
@Brian-Germain 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheHellis Spreading the risers before the linetwist happens usually prevents it, this is true. Flying coordinated turns without aggressive toggle inputs will also do that.

Make sure to loosen your chest strap some after opening, this will make your parachute fly better through turbulence that can occur on landings and make it almost unnoticeable

Caleb Countess I have never been able to loosen the chest strap after the main canopy has opened due to tightness. Now I leave it loose prior to the skydive.

@@Brian-Germain Thank you, oh Great Master Germain. I had listened to your videos about fear inoculation and rear riser swoops; I had passed a coached jump with a broken ankle by doing a dive exit with my eyes closed from the Cessna 182 at 11’000 feet high on a brisk, cloudy day on the last week of September into a straddle pike front loop followed by a pike front loop and a froggie splits front loop with a shooting star press into deployment at 3’000 feet. As I approached the landing field I realized that the target is to my left 800’ down so as I headed north with a eastbound crosswind and did a right 270* rear riser swoop landing in a baseball slide 1 metre from the target. The wind even blew the canopy down onto the tuffet for the touchdown...cheers. The Flight 1 101&102 courses were also good practice for collapsing the slider and loosening the chest strap.

Awesome recovery!!!!!, starting AFF next month, collapsing canopies cause of turbulance is my number one concearn, which is the safest approach to a void this, im getting mixed answers between 1/2 1/4 breaks. others say that will disturb the cells, whats your take?/

Nice work Charles! I've been studying Information Assurance in a Masters Program and I'm currently taking Network Forensics. This video added a lot of flavor to the gumbo of information that I have in my head right now. This means that I have all of this info in my head, tools, security models, TCP/IP, OSI. Layers, NSM, and this video reinforced and brought clarity to the OSI as a whole. Post more!
