Oh and you can at least check howuch rapid charging the previous owner did as the BMS records that too. Wont tell you how long its spent at 100% of course.

Can you be sure youve lost useable capacity if you weren't able to do the same test at new? Have you checked the State of Health figure? That indicates the remaining useable capacity. Still 100% on mine at 55k miles. Doesn't mean zero degradation of course, just that its in the buffers!

No I cant that is why I say 0 to 2%. Did not check the SoH this time but last time I checked at 30k or so it was still 100%.

You can actually add a frunk from a third party source. I’ve done so for my iD.5 GTX. Best car I’ve ever had.

Because when not necessary, the brakes cannot be used, the motors get energy back, and as you show you want to drive quickly (214km/h) if there is no necessity the use of brakes will be adapted to spare wastings! If there is an animal, then it will break automatically and spare any damage!

Why is a frunk so important? Really never understood that.

P.S. let's say your right about the smartphone integration beginning in 2020 models, is that however only available in the ''Ultimate Trim'' or is that possible as well in the SEL Trim ?

What tires were on the car? 20" performance tires? It is weird because I just tested the car with 20" Eco tires with about 23 kWh consumption. 14°C outside temperature.

Dude 3.33 km/kwh equals 96kwh x 3.33km/kwh which is only 320 km range for the entire 96kwh battery pack. So these 2 number(342km range and3.33km/kwh) just don't add up. Something missing here.

The perfect family car, except.... it can't tow, so no trips to the landfill with a small trailer or no family camping trips with a small camping trailer. Very good efficiency though. Any chance you'd test the Stellantis Berlingo MPV or variants at 80, 100 and 130km/h? A definite family car with a huge boot and CAN tow.

I’ve had my e-Niro 2021 for only one month and loving it, it had only 5000 miles on the clock when I got it but don’t know the charging history but even if charged to 100% can’t imagine that will done too much damage over that mileage. I’m only charging to 80% with my 7kw charger and never plan to fast charge and will only charge to 100% a few times a year, so give the battery’s the best life possible. I have a question, mine is the 4+ and not worked out how to use the cruise control without the adaptive I’m sure you switched your adaptive off during the video?

190kms for 56% of battery is good? Are you joking? I have the equivelent size ICEV in a Hyundai Palisade. Yes it is huge, comfortable and quiet. With my family of five and fully loaded with luggage we travel long distances regularly to visit family. I get all the way to a Sydney service stop where it will be almost empty but travelled over 900kms on one charge (fill). In less than five minutes i can recharge and do another 900+ kms. Not to mention the price, over twice the amount for an EV9. Large EV tech is not there yet and quite a long way from being a realistic option.

It’s a beautiful design, but the Chinese have zero fantasy. All the innovation is coming out of the US and China is just copying. I don’t know if I want to support that philosophy. The car might offer more features for the same amount of money, but my concerns are software user experience, reliability and privacy, hardware reliability longer term, local support, repair cost/speed, and as the reviewer mentioned: brand reliability. I also wonder if real world driving is living up to the specs. There’s also no historical data to rely on so we just have to believe range, drag coefficient…? Do you get the support of updates to maps and other services and how much is properly localized to the market/country you’re in?

Good to hear you are having this experience with the e-Niro. We've had ours from new in March 2019 and it has just crossed the 100,000 km mark. I am seeing no discernible loss of range at all. The real capacity of the battery as you know is 67.5 kWh when new so it takes a while to use up the 'spare' 3.5 kWh before you see any loss of range. The 90,000 km service on ours included a battery health check. This showed that all 294 cells were able to maintain enough voltage at 100% to give 64 kWh useable. The BMS protects the cells by not allowing them to get to zero volts even were you to get to 0% on the battery. At the top end it leaves a ceiling between the voltage at 100% SOC and V max on the cells. As some cells degrade over time the BMS lifts the cell voltage towards V max on the other cells, which explains the 'spare' 3.5 kWh. I mostly charge to 80% once a week on a granny cable, I don't even have a home charger. In do charge to 100% about once every 6 weeks even if I don't need to for a long trip. In the summer after a few weeks of local driving around here in France I charge to 100% and get well over 500 km on the GOM. I hope your e-Niro continues to serve you well as the km pile up. 😊

Good report. Any chance please, you can mention what battery you have like NMC or LFP in future videos? Mainly because only the latter can be charged to 100%. Kind wishes from sunny South Australia where our maximum speed is a boring 110kph on dual lane highways and 100kph on single lane roads.
