Debating between both of these, the tac 2aa only pumps out 1400lm for 1 minute before it drops to 500lm according to the specs whereas the mt2a seems to go from 1000lm down to 500lm over 10 minutes according to the 1lumen graph. Does that make sense?

I got the sft25r version. It has a similar beam profile to the Nitecore. Very tight hotspot with a little usable spill. My sample has a slightly off center emitter which causes a few artifacts. No worries though with a $25 edc light. You can only tell while white wall hunting. Otherwise in normal use it’s an awesome little thrower. The blue is actually very nice with a slight metallic tint, but I wish it was just plain ol black also.

Modern flashlights are starting to become too gimmicky..it is just an opinion but hey what are you going to do..and I hate the whole people whining about no moonlight mode annoying as F...I want to see what I'm looking at not make a guess.

Nitecore by far my favorite bro..as far as you talking about the built in batteries of Nitecore..I don't own any of those yet however,thinking seriously about the EDC 29..the flat type flashlights for some reason make more sense having built in batteries than the traditional looking ones like the EDC 35-33 etc..those really make no Sense on basically being a disposable flashlight when the dust settles.
