Would be good if ASID player could also record. Save instruments etc.

Wow, what a great set. I think the highscore tune from Tiger Mission is my favorite. Never played the game, but the tune just transports me to a time, long lost and forever gone. It's sad, but so beautiful. And the jazzy interlude is sooo nice as well. I actually stumbled upon this Transmission 64 video when searching for Reyn performing the Green Beret intro by Martin Galway. I'm talking about the video of Reyn playing in his basement on a dozen instruments. Now that was great, but the version from this set is even better. My goodness. The man knows his gear. Anyway. Reyn talks about Bjerregaard being his hero. But he inspired me to learn to play the piano, and I'm 50. So I could say Reyn's my hero. Thanks.

You're right, I see the PEEK 56320. No I can't tell any more if we missed this or if there was no comment about it needing interaction.

The green beret piece is not of my liking. I prefer the original part where Reyn also played the drums AND the bass guitar. Now he relies only on modern hardware to modify his voice (vocoder like) and playing the keyboard to represent a drum set. But maybe its the stuff we all want to hear nowadays.... :)

Just before the petscii revival, when noone was doing that, I was contributing the only petscii for the doublescreener compo and also my petscii font won the font compo that year against the „normal” fonts. I thought that was kinda important in the petscii history but apparently not, again the Polish contributions to the C64 scene are often overlooked by Scandinavian or West European centric observers :(
@transmission64Ай бұрын
Do you still see prejudices today in demo party competitions? I have to say, I don't always know in which country the entries originate. Nor does or should it matter.
@wacekofariseАй бұрын
@@transmission64 I am not saying anything about that. My point is that in this specific case of PETSCII and it's revival around 2013 there were two situations which were influential to bring the PETSCII back into the focus lens that do not get mentioned in this talk, yet one scener's obscene crude anims from that time somehow are important enough to be mentioned?
@transmission64Ай бұрын
@@wacekofarise Got your point. Best to discuss with Goto80 directly.
@goto8019 күн бұрын
@@wacekofarise this absolutely sounds important to petscii history, but i was unfortunately not aware of it. i'm trying my best to look beyond my region/culture/scene/whatever, but it's not easy. i'll contact you elsewhere so we can continue this discussion and hopefully i can improve my next presentation.

I think it is not possible, technically. They are using sprites for the out-of-the-box text movements. Sprites are cool but limited, in resolution and count.
@transmission642 ай бұрын
@@mad_circuits Correct. You could make it at least 8 sprites wide - that's 24 chars out of the 40. You can stack sprites vertically.
