Answer this question. Why do the main gear start to go up then fall back down some and then go up? Air in the lines?
@planesairbornebymalikclark280612 күн бұрын
When a gear retracts, it first needs to move out of the locks, which requires little hydraulic power. After this, the load gradually increases the more the leg moves up into the horizontal position. Shortly before moving into the final, retracted position the load is highest; the details depend on the gearing of the retraction mechanism. If this load needs to be covered for all three gears at the same time, the hydraulic pump on an aircraft with manual controls and hydraulics only for gear operation would need to be more than twice as large as when you sequence the retraction, so the peak loads come one after the other.

You need to explain that the engine needs to be rotated past the impulse coupling first. Second I always had all the plug leads removed just in case there were any fumes in a cylinder to fire and kick the prop. A prop kick in the head or arm kinda hurts.
@cyrilfredlund21823 ай бұрын
Same for me but I would remove the main leads from the magnetos.

Yeah it’s just how they calibrate it and whatnot. I’ve flown quite a few Navajos and a large number of them are the same. Sometimes the prop levers aren’t synced full forward but they’re both governed for max rpm

Corporate/Private Jets use the airport. The largest airliner to go there is the embraer 175. The Embraer 145 has gone there too

This is excellent. So close to all of the popular resorts. No more 2-hour rides from Montego Bay international. Since the old road's gone and all of the super Hi-ways are the only way to get around the island it's not alot of fun anymore, or it's a new kinda fun. Jamaica-me-Home. Pretty please...!!!

You can still use the old roads if you want to. I do welcome the new highways as they make long distance travel a lot less stressful.

1:20 the gear lever drops?
@planesairbornebymalikclark28068 ай бұрын
That drop is the “Up-off” position. After the gear is retracted and the hydraulic pressure builds up, the gear automatically returns to the off position to prevent the hydraulic pump from running constantly. The gear is held in the up position by up locks (J hooks) so there is no need to run the pumps to keep them up.
