I just replaced my seal as you had in the video. I noticed that the gasket seemed a bit thicker than the support foam soruonding it. Did you have to shimmy any of it to get it to stay? I got a dometic seal that was 1” thick and the old one was about 9/16”

17:43 if you are looking into this room and look straight down inside the doorway, there is a small hole in the wood floor. When I was a kid, my dad and I were there when he noticed the hole and pressed a penny into it. A perfect fit. Not sure why, but that silly dad trick stuck with me, and the last couple times we have been back to the old capitol I have made sure the family finds a penny to put back into the hole to remember him.

Hey brother. Awesome video!! Thanks for the detailed instructions. My fan still works, it’s around 5 years old, but while opening now it’s extremely loud/ high pitch winding. I’ve looked at it from the inside of the coach and I don’t really see where it can be lubed. Is it sealed and unserviceable? Any help is greatly appreciated. Safe travels🤙

This is such a fun memory to make and a great experience as a family. My dad (Wilson) took us for the first time when our kids were young, in fact he rented the entire caboose one year and that was very special. Dad is now gone but the memories are forever with us and that’s the point of a trip like this. Have an awesome time and thanks for watching! ~Wilson & Kelli

I feel your pain on that roof. RV roofs are nothing but problems from day one almost. I’m thinking about developing a lifetime warranty roof. That is actually lifetime warranty and not just conditional. I do have a plan and a system already in mind. I am sick of getting on my 37 foot RV roof every year and finding problems. It just shouldn’t be a thing. Thanks for the video.

I just sold a 1987 Travelmaster Signature class C with a sheet metal roof (I think it was a thin stainless steel) that had zero leak problems in it's life.... unfortunately, the crappy window in the front was not so great, so i did have to do repair work there. I'm currently shopping for a smaller trailer and the modern construction is really chintzy and almost putting me off completely.

You are so right but RV companies are going do things as cheap as possible. I’d be willing to pay more for a good roof option but I know not everyone will be willing to do so. You will make a lot of money if you have a good product with a great warranty. Thanks for watching! ~Wilson

Can you use the fan, when you have rv ac going? Seems you are pumping cool air out? It’s just freaking hot out, don’t think pulling hot air isn’t the ticket.? Brian
@OnTheMewve
@OnTheMewve 4 ай бұрын
So we will use ours to pull out air out when we arrive somewhere. Turn the air on, cold air falls toward the floor, and turn the fan on until the hot air, which rises, has been pulled out of the camper. If you let it run too long though, it will begin to pull the cold air out. You just have to balance it so you don't let too much cold air out. I hope this helps ~Wilson

After watching your video, I have a question. I thought this was designed to be a gravity fed system? I also thought the "rollover ball" was designed to shut off the transfer of fuel when the main tank is full. Maybe i missed it in the video, and you mentioned why you went with a mechanical setup.
@OnTheMewve
@OnTheMewve 6 ай бұрын
Many people do use the gravity system Instead of the mechanical setup like I did. I like the control of the system from the cab of my truck and that’s why I went with this setup. The rollover valve is for an emergency and would stop the flow of diesel in case the truck rolls over in an accident by closing off the valve with a gravity fed ball that plugs it. I’m not sure that the rollover valve would stop the tank from an overfill but the vent system should. I turn the switch off in the cab when my gauge shows full. As long as you keep a watch on it you will not have any problems with any overfill, but if you fail to turn it off it will build pressure in the tank. Good luck with whichever design you go with and thanks for watching ~Wilson

Northeastern Ky is Ky's best kept secret. Tons of history (we were VA until 1803) and so much to do, especially in Ashland and Boyd. Co. Ashland was home to the Judds and Chuck Woolery among others that moved here. Google Camp Landing, Malibu Jacks & Sandy's racing & gaming. Or visit the Highlands Museum for lots of history. Paramount where Billy Ray Cyrus did the video for Achy, Breaky Heart. The Paramount was one of only 12 commissioned by the one in Hollywood. Only 6 were built and only two still exist. Just one (ours) is still used for the arts. Our museum has the phone used in Hitler's Bunker when it was cleared out. We also have murals all over the place. Every 4th of July we have Summer Motion which has famous singers for 3 days along with all kinds of entertainment and it's all free. I lived in Louisville 9 yrs., Dallas, Tx, Phoenix & Sierra Vista, Az. and still chose to come home and never regretted it.
