After watching your video, I have a question. I thought this was designed to be a gravity fed system? I also thought the "rollover ball" was designed to shut off the transfer of fuel when the main tank is full. Maybe i missed it in the video, and you mentioned why you went with a mechanical setup.
@OnTheMewve
@OnTheMewve 22 күн бұрын
Many people do use the gravity system Instead of the mechanical setup like I did. I like the control of the system from the cab of my truck and that’s why I went with this setup. The rollover valve is for an emergency and would stop the flow of diesel in case the truck rolls over in an accident by closing off the valve with a gravity fed ball that plugs it. I’m not sure that the rollover valve would stop the tank from an overfill but the vent system should. I turn the switch off in the cab when my gauge shows full. As long as you keep a watch on it you will not have any problems with any overfill, but if you fail to turn it off it will build pressure in the tank. Good luck with whichever design you go with and thanks for watching ~Wilson

Northeastern Ky is Ky's best kept secret. Tons of history (we were VA until 1803) and so much to do, especially in Ashland and Boyd. Co. Ashland was home to the Judds and Chuck Woolery among others that moved here. Google Camp Landing, Malibu Jacks & Sandy's racing & gaming. Or visit the Highlands Museum for lots of history. Paramount where Billy Ray Cyrus did the video for Achy, Breaky Heart. The Paramount was one of only 12 commissioned by the one in Hollywood. Only 6 were built and only two still exist. Just one (ours) is still used for the arts. Our museum has the phone used in Hitler's Bunker when it was cleared out. We also have murals all over the place. Every 4th of July we have Summer Motion which has famous singers for 3 days along with all kinds of entertainment and it's all free. I lived in Louisville 9 yrs., Dallas, Tx, Phoenix & Sierra Vista, Az. and still chose to come home and never regretted it.

Yeah, I ran into these in California. Just cut a small piece of cardboard and jam it into it and you have power all the time. There the bathroom lights wouldn’t function unless your key card was in the slot. The problem is when I leave the room I wouldn’t remember the key card. So I bypassed it by wedging the key card sleeve into the hole. You needed power when you were in the room

@@UKsystems at most they would turn off an outlet that could potentially have something plugged into it. Refrigerators would need to be continuously powered . I am fully capable of turning off any appliances I might use. I’m an electrical engineer who was a former electrician. If a circuit can’t stay continuously powered then it wasn’t designed properly. Some of our systems turn on/off several times a minute others a motor or device will stay powered and running for months at a time..

We have just a small area in the membrane near the corner that moves when u touch it. Do u think we should pull the small area and seal it or something else?
@OnTheMewve
@OnTheMewve 2 ай бұрын
How large is the spot? If it’s just a few inches I would not do anything but reseal it, unless you suspect a leak or spongy wood indicating rot and then you should pull the membrane and check it out. As long as the membrane around the area is glued down and secure I would not worry about a smaller spot. Mine bubbled and then created a 3-4 foot bubble near the center. Thanks for watching ~ Wilson

Good video for a diyer but 1 important thing was forgotten the axle spindle nut was overtightened 50 ft. Ilbs is to set preload on the bearing assembly then it should be backed off and hand tightened for proper backlash on bearings so that they do not overheat this Is why your rear seal was failing and outer bearing grease was burnt. Other than that great job
