Dang i cant believe this got patched, commander niall is the only boss in the game i think is just irredeemably bad, i used to use this literally every single time because hes just such an awful boss, now I guess i'll just have to find a new method

I had to end up loading up a previous save in order to get this trophy, this method works at least at the time of upload and I don't believe there was a patch. If you have any old save I would load it up and just get to little lamplight and try again, this trophy is bugged I believe but I know I had this same issue the first time I did it so there may be something in the game that stops the tracking progress of that trophy. I hope this helps!

You can basically just go to rest when the bird ticks over the edge, it dies early enough that you get the runes, tested a minute and at that point its give or take 4.7m runes an hr.

they disabled the death timeout function to no be negated by swinging your weapon so it is still possible if something else will negate the timer

As of 6-19-24 it still works, took me 10+ times and I became very doubtful but then boom!!! It worked lol
