Just a suggestion, but you should try adding lofi to your videos instead of this music you used. If you can learn some basic editing and transitions, you could really make your content stand out! Keep at it man, your prints are really cool!

That’s a great idea! In your opinion, do you think that a short with good professional editing, is more appealing than simple “classroom“ style like in this short? To be honest, I like to do editing and get a lot of joy out of it. I’m not super great at it yet but practice makes progress! I have been going with classroom style for these print shorts, but I have done other ones where I have edited heavily using CapCut for example. If you look through my other shorts, look for the one “3-D printed quarter VS real quarter“ and this would be an example of a short that I did a lot of editing. Please let me know if you like that one or not, I haven’t gotten any real feedback yet on the subject. Do you think that it looks good with the type of editing that I did? Do you think I should do these 3-D print shorts the same way, except with lowfi as you mentioned? Thank you so much in advance for your thoughts and feedback!

How do you get your stl files from your tablet to your pc for slicing?
@tinkertime1
@tinkertime1 7 күн бұрын
If I have downloaded and saved the STL to my iPad, then I will plug in a USB-C thumb drive into my iPad and transfer the files and then upload them into my PC accordingly. But if I’m designing on Tinkercad, I use my iPad to make the design and then it is automatically saved in the cloud so from there I’ll just go to my PC and download it and slice it from there. This way the designing is done freely from my iPad, but the files are accessible through Tinkercad website online or like I say, through the USB flash drive. Hope this helps! 👍🏻😎

@@tinkertime1 I see now. I figured you would probably have a quicker way than plugging in a cable and all that. The cloud on Tinkercad is quicker. I will try using my tablet now. Thanks for the help.

Great video, exactly what I needed... to learn more technique. Comments for newbies: this is not for literal 'first timers.' Instead, watch this after you've watched perhaps 3-7 videos about using the Tinkercad interface. This video shows perhaps 20 techniques, methods, processes, even thought processes that comprise "3D construction thinking." It shows you... copying to resize; resizing numerically; changing view to facilitate adjustments; copying to subtract (with a hole); reuse from another project/ecosystem; rotational snap; alignment in action; that external STLs have things as complex as a working hinge; by inference it shows me that I'm probably moving things around too much... or I don't understand how to keep things on the workplane; and so on. In other words, whereas the true first-timer tutorials show what the interface does, they don't show how/when/why to use each tool. TT, I think you could make another (not replacement but addition) even higher demand video by taking this exact video content... stretching some of the frames...and re-dubbing it with comments for every interface action such as "now I'm zooming with the scroll wheel and right-dragging to see the hinge alignment from the most revealing angle... here I clicked on the up-arrow (the height tool), to reveal the vertical position number so that I can type in a precise number... here I pressed the [?] key to zoom to the part." I've learned over 100 visual tools and learned 16 programming languages over the years; trust me... as good as the Tinkercad interface is, thousands of users could benefit from having that info built into a technique video. Thanks

Competition is pretty stiff on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc. I can imagine if someone were doing custom designs for people that would probably be more pinpointed in order to make some money in a saturated market. Food for thought. 😎👍🏻

Why split in two projects when you can select the individual items and export with the ‘export selected’ option? Your tinkercad project will remain complete while (in this case two) stl files will be created.
@tinkertime1
@tinkertime1 28 күн бұрын
That’s a great point Herman! In this case, the only main reason you would split into two separate projects would be to continue any further editing on either piece at that point. Your suggestion is definitely a viable option and one I would certainly recommend as well! Thanks for watching and commenting!
