fantasy has its place. In the movies, theater, and definitely in Aikido. Especially by practitioners that move with so little intention and meaning. It is embarrassing. If you want to play with a stick, grab a broom and go sweep a warehouse. if you want to dance, have music in the background. Try moving naturally and at a realistic speed. But I commend the guys on this video. They have a lot of balls to appear in it.

It is interesting to see the Russian text, it says that Aikido has no borders and no politics! ))) I answer the comment- yes, this is not M. Saito, perhaps the school refers to shihan Ulf Evens, Sweden, who is a student of M. Saito. In Russia, this is the Takemusu Aikido Federation! In any case, it's nice to see this style trend in Edinburgh! Which is significantly different from the traditional Aikikai! And it is interesting to see the participants of the seminar who are passionate about Aikido in Edinburgh! I convey great respect from Russia to everyone!

To echo another Budo author’s thought - “When OSensei talked about harmonizing with the attacker, he was not talking about sitting down and having tea with him.” Atemi is a necessary skill in Aikido and should be as strong and hard as hitting uke with the planet (throwing uke).

after I had read the O'sensei words from his close students and the Art of Peace book I am sure that if you want to understand the O'sensei Ideas and thoughts and know how great he is first you need to take aikido seriously as Art of War then the Art Of peace will come to you naturally. the only window we have to that is the Traditional Aikido. Thank you very much for your Videos.

It was an honor to participate in this great event and challenge. Special thanks to Andrea, the co-hosts and joined teachers. And thank you participants for joining the class. My technical Aikido background is very much the same as many of the teachers of this challenge. Beside this way of training I always enjoy bridging other perspectives and practices that are meeting Aikido. If there are any questions feel free to contact me at [email protected], or www.aikicontact.nl.
