I can’t believe it’s been a year. I nearly fainted when I first saw the digital camera and installed Da Vinci Resolve. It was so intimidating. I need 2-4 more years before I get comfortable with this process. But I'm OK with that. The best creations take time. Even if the channel doesn't do well, I have new videography skills to provide value in a completely different way. You can't lose!

I finally had the opportunity to create a video just for myself! It's crazy how life took an unexpected turn. Despite purchasing my first camera less than a year ago for KZbin content, I landed several videography jobs, including a HUGE corporate gig. It's been awesome I'm grateful for these unexpected opportunities. This is a short one but I feel like I'm getting better at the process. I'll see you in the next video.

This video took a VERY long time to make. The shot was done in a day, but editing took months. It’s summer and I’ve been at the recreation center pool daily. Plus, there are so many components to this video, like the second angle, and I used more b roll than any other video. The footage came out to over 20 minutes, and cutting it down to 15 was a feat. I feel like I'm getting better at making these so hopefully I can pump these out quicker without sacrificing quality. I hope you enjoy it!

Well said Mike. These are great points. I think it's easy to get caught up in "knowing" what we're supposed to be doing but never actually doing anything about it. It's not going to just "happen" for you. You have to make it happen. Even those of us who know these things still need to be reminded of them from time to time. We all get stuck wanting to do what's easy when it's the hard stuff that makes us grow.

I’m still trying to figure out the most efficient ways to make creative videos. I just hit the 6 month mark, woo hoo! 7 Months ago I didn’t even own a camera or have any idea on what I was supposed to do. This entire process is way harder than it seems, but I thoroughly enjoy it. I hope you like this one. I wanted to try a different approach. It’s a bit more direct, but I think I came off a little more Full Metal Jacket than I wanted it too. I hope it’s not too much.

Hi everyone, this is video #4 in my Inspiration Series. I started this VERY unsure of how it would turn out, but in the end, it came out better than I expected. I'm exactly 6 months into my KZbin journey and I still can't believe I'm close to 100 Subscribers! It's so bizarre that people are actually following me, thank you so much if you are one of them. My biggest hurdles in this video was coming up with good footage and unique ideas. It was fortuitous that the Philly Fan Expo (Formerly Comicon) 2024 was happening during my filming because it was right in line with the topic of the video. You know what they say, luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity. I also wanted to do something really rediculous to showcase the embarrassment theme. I came up with the decision to learn that hilarious dance from Napleaon Dynamite. I practiced every day for weeks. I hope you had a good laugh and learned some things in the process. Do you best every day and I'll see you in the next video.

Video #3 is in the books! For those who are new here, I embarked on my KZbin journey four months ago, back in January 2024, at the ripe age of 47. I took a class on how to talk to the camera, watched hundreds of videos on film making and videography, and, of course, began filming. I've trashed hundreds of failed videos. At this four-month mark, I still feel clueless. However, I’m navigating my way through this process and thoroughly enjoying every moment. It’s challenging, frustrating, and filled with fear and self-doubt, but I persist and keep moving forward. With each video I create, I inch closer to my vision of what I want my content to be. While I’m not perfect, I’m giving it my best effort, and I hope you all find enjoyment in it and feel inspired to tackle something you’ve been afraid of.
