I grew up reading folklore and always enjoyed it. Usually, there is a grain of knowledge or some lesson within these stories. But I'm having really hard time finding it when I can't get over how gross it must've been to not wipe your nose for 15 years 😭

"Are you good at housework?" "Yes". "Perfect. Let's get married". 😂 Awesome dialog presentations. I laughed my butt off!

When I listened to the skalds circle while aboard bering sea fishing vessels the stories strengthened my resolve, plus expanded my mental state of awareness and enhanced my morale. This was the first story I listened to on skalds circle, thank you

Hi Kylin! I don't believe that you missed anything. It's a fairly common occurrence in Irish folktales for priests to be able to drive away the fairie folk. We're glad you enjoyed the story!

I grew up with slavic stories like that, and always wondered why they were told, and why in this format... is that how children were taught about politics? Also, great job being able to go through the routine as clean and quick as that. I would give up after the wolf got involved.

Which Native American tribe did this story come from?
@theskaldscircle5670
@theskaldscircle5670 4 жыл бұрын
Uncertain on the specific tribe. The story is from a collection called Canadian Fairy Tales which contains 26 Native American folk tales gathered from across Canada by Professor Cyrus MacMillan, who did not indicate the origin tribe of each story.

Hey there, the name Skaði the "ð" pronounced similarly to a "th". As for the "a" that very well could have been a mistake on my part with it having a harder "a" rather than a softer one.
