👀👍! for some reason, i dont like the sound of these switches, even though i typically think most silent switches sound okay.

King of clacky falls down in silent. Guess HMX should stay on their track. I use eva and it's superb.
@inspire1ove13 сағат бұрын
HMX don't miss often, but whe they do, its with silent switches. I have the silent sakura's and they don't feel that great. Top silent switch is still Haimu Heartbeats for many reasons; to be fair they really hard to beat.

Bit of a letdown release. The almost full-length travel does not avoid interference with cherry profile keycaps, a fatal flaw in a silent switch as the keycaps audibly hit the top housings when bottoming out (more obvious in the camera mic section). Also missing the super-tight wobble-less tolerances we've come to expect from HMX. Hard to recommend over other silent switches by the likes of Haimu or Lichicx. Great video as always.
can i check what is the usb orange cable you are using? i clicked on the link but it doesn't look like a braided cable though

@KeebTaro3 күн бұрын
I hope that easily replaceable plate-mount stabilizers become popular.

I recommend Geon Stem Spacers! You can use them on standard size stabs to balance long pole switches.

It's interesting that the 3.9 Sunset Gleam is louder than the long pole version of Sunset Gleam. Usually it's the other way around.

How does this compare to the Raptor HE? Do you think its "better"?
@KeebTaro6 күн бұрын
According to GEON, the production version has improved stem wobble and is tighter. If you prioritize typing feel and sound over the Raptor HE, the Raw would be a better choice.

Great video!! I just bought a batch of Gateron Pro Yellow Milky after seeing so many recommendations without even knowing that wobbling was a thing. They sound amazing and feel very smooth but man... I didn't expected them to be so loose (I'm using tall keycaps). I'm now considering buying Akko V3 Pro Cream Yellows or Blacks because of the dust proof stems (which should add extra stability for bottomed out keycaps). Although they surely wont sound as nice as the Milky Yellows...

@KeebTaro8 күн бұрын
I understand the intent of your question. The sound difference isn't significant, so continuing to use V2 is fine. I started making the charts because the differences in HMX are small and hard to distinguish. If you want to try others to find your new preference, it's best to choose from the groups at either end (lower or higher-pitched) of the chart.
