ETF's would be a best place to start for a beginner investor. A beginner Trader would instead start with stocks then include different asset classes with time; combine fundamentals and Technicals faded with the general market Trend; Trade small and journal all trades. I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. Really sorry to hear that. Please do not give up but invest more into the educational side, trade smaller or demo and continuously reflect on your errors through Journaling. I know all teaching tells us don't lose more than 1 to 2 per cent of your account on each trade. However big players know this and will take you out each and every time, before moving in your direction.

Greetings from India ❤ I do swing trading on TradingView with my own custom made pine script indicators. My chart always filled with atleast 15 - 20 indicators at a time. It is not a problem analyzing my cluttered chart beacuse, I custom made it for the purpose, and my brain is wired to it. I never draw a trend line on my chart, and in most time my stock analysis for a purticular stock will be done in less than a minute. The rest is add/move it to final watchlist for deep dive - or - delete it to trash for another time

@@eugeneponomarov7429 Every market have its own rythm, style & pshycology. I trade on NSE (National Stock Exchange - India) I always took three trades / positions at a time. Holding period is according to the synchronization between Index(Here it is Nifty 50) and stocks. Minimum holding period is 3 days and Maximum holding period 1.5 weeks I am always ready to take another trade when I exit the current position. My entry points are near Monthly Pivots(S,P&R) & SMA20/10 My exit points are Monthly Pivots(S,P&R), Auto Anchored VWAP & TWAP* * * & Rev.Eng RSI Bundle* * * * * * check my indicators which I am using I choose stocks which are +/- 10% near SMA20, scan stocks with minimum volume(for me it is >=8L / day) and trend finding with SMA10/20 >= SMA50 >= SMA200 I will not go for high market cap stocks because most of them moves very slowly so the profit is low and nor for penny type stocks because it is very risky. I also take margin (MTF) for trading by custom scan stocks which gives 3x - 5x margin from my broker. I use googlesheets and chartink scanner (chartink - its database is only for NSE stocks free for 5 minute delayed data and EOD reports) I pick stocks for trade two weeks never do daily scanning. So when I scanned my stocks with the above mentioned criterias I shortlist them to 100 nos. with fine adjustments with values for volume and price within the scanner itself and I am ready to analyse the output which are going to trade for the next two weeks. I never trade against the overal trend of the Index(Here the Index is - Nifty 50) Only take a trade from entry points where my Stop-Loss can be within -2% ----------------- The tools/indicators I am using is my custom mixed recipie with TradingView Pine Script. Thanks for some of the sripts to the original owners who hepls me to make my own recipie by make them available opensource. Overlay Indicators: 1. Order Qty + P/L Calculator Overlay (Helps to take trade without money management calculation) 3. Pivot Points (Monthly) 4. Next Month's Pivots (Useful at the end of a month) 5. CPR - Bundle (Also shows plots on monthly time frame) 6. Auto Anchored VWAP & TWAP - Bundle (Uses some of Brian Shannon's method) 7. Bollinger Bands 8. Moving Averages - Ribbon 9. Rev.Eng RSI Bundle (Plots Reverse Engineered - RSI14 (30 & 70) & StochRSI7,14,66,264,1048 (0 & 100) - values of the underlay oscillators) Underlay Indicators: 1. RSI(14) 2. Stochastic RSI(7) 3. Stochastic RSI(14) 4. Stochastic RSI(66) 5. Stochastic RSI(264) 6. Stochastic RSI(1048) Almost all the indicator shows my profit/loss value to that point some of them when I hover over them. With minimum margin 3x and assured gain with 5 - 7% I make 36% profit in a month. Now I tell you a secret that, 90% stock market gurus are frauds and don't know what really is trading ! But the rest 10% are Gems 💍 Learn from Legends 👍 (Special note: I am not good enough in English)
