Thanks for the reaction! I'd never seen this, probably, if it wasn't for your attention. Love the sound, and as a video nerd, the flying cam shots. Well done!

I know all the songs Replays band does are covers, and mostly from Bocchi the Rock, but Kaho's solo work is still amazing and that red SG looks really good in her hands! Despite not being a band outside these "advertisements, all members gel incredibly well, and it always looks like they're having fun. You'd never know they weren't really a band. If Gibson/Epiphone ever put out an EP, I would definitely buy it!

ok so maybe listen & compare again since with all that babbling you seem to have missed the faster drum beat in the second half which is their "re-writing" point of the newer version

I definitely agree with your thought, if I understand correctly. I’m really enjoying the four piece formation for the, “space.” It is easier for me to separate the musical talent of the musicians. It sounds less cluttered, or condensed, if you understand me. My analogy would be letting a fine wine breath. I will still miss the dueling guitars, but they are not necessary. ❤️🌸

Thanks for all the work you’re putting into this channel. It’s helping me find new groups that I’m really enjoying listening to. Have you heard of a group called Haku? They’ve got a bit of an easy listening rock vibe to them. If haven’t, may I recommend them to you? Keep up the good work.

I am on his Discord, and he is very aware Haku. 😉 Looks like there's another Haku fan, Howard. And they just happen to be releasing a new EP in January, and they have a new song out right now...

You were talking during the old dual guitar section but Hazuki killed it. She really shines in this band now. The Librarian has stepped out of Saki's shadow perhaps.😄

Mate, this is THE jamroom where it all started with their cover of The Trooper and Oiran! Tamu actually has been recording in there for years prior to Nemophila her drum covers from her own channel going back as far as 2013 or so.😄💪🏻🤘🏻

Hmmm.... Didn't mention the double time tempo change halfway through the second verse? 🤔 To me that's the biggest change with this version. Nemophila started playing the song this way before Saki left, so it's not necessarily her leaving that was the impetus for the change, but it's cool to see them playing as a four-piece. 🤘

One thing I’ve noticed that I love that Lovebites does, is they use their EPs to be a bit experimental in their sound and listen to the fan feedback to see what was liked or not and bring those new things into their next full album along with the “typical” Lovebites sound. One big thing that was added was Midori bringing in a new pedal to play along with Miyako. Interested to see how she will ultimately utilize that. As far as the Disc 2, I would highly recommend listening to the original EP, then the disc 2 songs as Disc 2 is a re-recording of their first EP with Fami instead of Miho. Not only is it an updated mixing style but Fami also puts in her new flare/sound to the songs compared to Miho’s versions. Definitely recommended to check out

Another great Reaction, Baka. My 'Dream' came true this September when I saw them Live in Dallas! I was 2 seconds away from picking up one of Midori's picks after the show. Afterwards, there was a young lady crying becuase she had had to come to the show by herself because her best friend who was supposed to come with her had suddenly died the week before. The guy who got the pick said "you need this more than I do" . . and handed her the pick. THAT is the kind of people Lovebites Fans are!

This is my least favourite on the EP. Decent track but re-treading old ground for me. I also realise that was the point to some degree.

Your last sentence is key. :) One could tell you are no huge fan of HAMMERFALLs and RHAPSODYs (OF FIRE) of this world, who repeat their formula ad nauseam, but surely a band can have fun with a tried (tired?) formula more than once! Myself I would be excited to see them branch out even more - but this is still far from going into a rut.
@danwhite72654 күн бұрын
@@bigg2988 Who mentioned ruts? They've done better and this was mainly a nostalgia effort as a call back to earlier in their career (as i believe the whole EP is designed to do to some degree). I get it, and said i got it. There's no reading between the lines necessary, my friend!

Such a fun song! With it, LOVEBITES pivot their newest EP towards the Power metal style that is becoming ever more an important part of their identity. The 5 songs offer a healthy mix of styles, Thrash, straight up Heavy, Neo-Classical, but this rounds it all up well, giving the overall feel the EP has it's, well, identity, 😄instead of being all over the place. And if that is the direction they are headed in, I am a happy camper! The song itself is a pretty nod towards the European Power metal of the turn of the century, with many comparisons to make, but just try EDGUY's "Save Us Now" off their wonderful "Mandrake" album! That one was a humorous song about the band's drummer, and I can't know without lyrics or Live performance if the LOVEBITES ladies are playing this with straight face (I'd wager Fami is not!), but the melody is contagious and the song structure really tight, so this will make a pleasing addition to my daily track-list anyhow. \m/
@bigg29885 күн бұрын
P. S.: OK, just checked the lyrics (thanks to whoever posted them!), they show the best but serious intent, something like their own "Eagle Fly Free", just with a little more empathy. Still in the realm of happy Power metal all the way, a message like this is bread and butter of the style. Call it organic.

They say that people cannot accuse you of being out of tune if you’re singing your own song, and that’s how I personally see the vocalist of Yano as. They are not particularly the best in vocals, but the song and the melody is made specifically for this specific vocalist. In the Philippines, there are lots of bands that are like this. Parokya ni Edgar, Eraserheads, Yano, etc. This lack of regard for vocals and focus on making catchy music, even using basics, makes them sound more urban and relatable. This specific song, to me, is the perfect blend of grungy guitar sounds that evokes the image of the impoverished streets of Manila, and the unruly, angsty, sarcastic voice of the vocalist. Even the laugh is not meant to be comedic, but more on the sarcastic side, which is perfect for the overall message of the song which is about hypocritical holier than thou people hence the title Banal na Aso, Santong Kabayo (Sacred Dogs, Saintly Horses).

The fact that I've not seen any comments saying "this is the best song on the EP", and by using the term "favourite" shows the quality of the fans. Everyone has their own opinion and reasons, and for that I have the utmost respect, so thanks to all for being true. Personally, I can't say which one I like most because it changes all the time, but I can say that this is never my least favourite. Regarding the bass solos, although I like to hear them as well as see the smile on fami' face, I've always thought of metal as more guitar focused, and rock a little more on the bass, that might just be me though 🤘🎤🎹🥁🎸🐺

You are essentially correct, but certain Mr. Steve Harris wants a word with you. :)) Historically, Hard Rock and Metal are so tightly connected that there are varying levels of stylistic spill-over between them, and in specific instances, it may even be hard to pinpoint the style of the band. LOVEBITES is basically in all styles, as long as that qualifies as Heavy. I am still waiting for them to branch out more into Prog Metal, if only as a diversion, since with this rhythm section, they would be able to do whatever they want in Prog realm.
@gordonnottsfinest1805 күн бұрын
That makes a lot of sense, I think it's a very thin line between what is defined as heavy rock and metal. Metal is still rock, but not all rock is metal.

LOVEBITES - Someone's Dream lyrics & credits: Dreams easily torn apart, lives even taken away Swayed, pushed to the edge by dark invisible thread in way There's nothing left for me to be drying my tears inside Fake smile on the face will not be leading me anywhere Mistakes and setbacks repeat Feel like losing myself I won't feel a thing as long as I don't think anymore But tomorrow will come again Getting through another lonely night Just a little dignity will be enough to make me strong Proving somebody's wrong is not what this soul is given for This soul is given for our future Here we are World is wide See the sky laying high Our fate in this land, I will save from whatever's on the way You and I All we need is right here Our tale that we make never ends Keep on moving on End of this story, what is waiting there With our wings, we'll be flying together SOLOS: midori, miyako, both, fami/haruna False showing of power that comes from the greediness Letting somebody down, deceiving their faith in you To be proud of yourself, to sacrifice yourself for others These are what's defining the true meaning of power Proving somebody's wrong is not what this soul is given for This soul is given for our future Here we are World is wide See the sky laying high Our fate in this land, I will save from whatever's on the way You and I All we need is right here Our tale that we make never ends Keep on moving on End of this story, what is waiting there With our wings, with our hope, with our soul, we'll be flying together ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: miyako & LOVEBITES album: LOVEBITES EP II, 08/28/2024 ----

This is currently my second fav track on the new EP after "The Bell in the Jail". One of the reasons why I really like both songs is because of Fami's intriguing basslines in both. All 5 tracks are pretty different from each other. The first EP is definitely worth checking out.

Someone’s Dream is familiar in a way I didn’t enjoy as much (I guess that kind of vibe is not my thing), while the bass solo didn’t really change much of the overall feel of the song either. Although I listed it as my #3, I would say in terms of really liking a song, the ‘The Bell in the Jail’ is the main one I like. It was far more interesting to me, and even without a bass solo, you could feel Fami’s impact (or influence) more. Someone’s Dream felt more like they squeezed her into a less fitting song, and it felt a bit off to me. Just my opinion on it.
