Good evening Sir. Thank you so much for this educative video. When I solved, I got x=16 in Q2 and I asked myself why it’s different from your answer and I noticed you used (2x + 3) km instead of (2x + 13) km which gave you 17.5 as x. Things like this can happen and has happened to me a thousand times. I still appreciate what you do Sir. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Suppose we have a light emitting source and a receiver. Suppose the receiver is able to decompose the received light wave. When the two are stationary relative to each other, the received frequency is equal to the transmitted frequency. But when they move relative to each other, the received and emitted frequency will be different. Now suppose we do two experiments. Once we put the light source inside the train and the receiver inside the station. Suppose the train is moving towards the station at a constant speed. From the moving train, we send a light wave to the receiver inside the station. The receiver takes the light wave and breaks it down. The second time, we put the receiver inside the train and plant the light source in the station. In this case, the train moves towards the station with the same speed (as before). Again, we send a light wave and the receiver analyzes it. We know that in both cases, the spectral lines of the decomposed optical wave will be shifted compared to the case where the transmitter and receiver are stationary. But the question is whether the displacement of the spectral lines of the decomposed light when the transmitter is stationary and the receiver is moving is different from when the receiver is stationary and the transmitter is moving? Has there ever been such an experiment?
@yusufabdulrahman229424 күн бұрын
You are referring to Doppler effect a phenomenon in which the receiver observes an abrupt change in frequency due its (receiver) motion. Doppler shift in the receiver moving relative to the stationary transmitter.
@yusufabdulrahman229424 күн бұрын
Doppler shift depends on the velocity of the receiver moving relative to the transmitter which is stationary.
