I know what you mean my parents and me are religious and live in a small town like that and I was afraid to come out to them but we ended up talking and it worked out good my mom sent me some pride shirts and pride flag she saw on Amazon

Your presentation of your Coming Out experience is probably the best one that I've ever heard. The advice you give at the end (really throughout your story) is right on. I'm so glad you have the parents, and family you do. This is truly a different age and I'm glad we have come this far and prepared to move on further to accepting human being where they are.

It seems like I don't even have nyone to come out to. Lonely as a hermit! and awfully unhappy. Please let me know what dio you think, what can I do, ?

It's legit strange that after all this time has passed, The Love That Dare Not Speak It's Name is still a thing. I have noticed in several of these coming out vids that guys are unable to utter the words "I am Gay".

Wow you made this 5 years ago. You must be out of college now. I grew up in Highland Park and Northbrook, north of Chicago as you know. However, in the midst of that we lived in a small rural Indiana town when I was in 7th grade and realizing I was gay. What timing; very difficult and confusing. But good for you! 💜

Not all Christians are anti-gay. Just look for a Congregational church that is "Open & Affirming" and you will be accepted as an LGBT person with inherent dignity and worth! P.S., the Congregational churches are sometimes referred to as The United Church of Christ.

Such a handsome young man.... I wish I could have been out when I was your age. Of course, I wish I were still your age because you look delicious. LOL But anyway, 1978 was not a great time for a young guy to come out. I ended up staying in the closet another 36 years based on fears of how people would react. When I did come out (3 years ago) I had no negative responses by anyone. If I did lose friends, I haven't noticed. Your video is perfect. It will be inspirational to many. Don't apologize in the video, it makes you seem insecure.
